2024: Equipped with interactive screens
The first city network of automatic book issuing stations is equipped with interactive screens produced by a resident of the Technopolice Moscow special economic zone by Neks-T. This was announced on November 25, 2024 by the Minister of the Government of Moscow, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Anatoly Garbuzov.
The company is one of the leading manufacturers of interactive equipment. Since 2017, Neks-T has released more than 100 thousand interactive panels, including products for educational institutions. The company also took part in the creation of the first network of automatic book issuing stations in Moscow, providing specially designed touch screens, - said Anatoly Garbuzov. |
Book stations are installed in ten metropolitan parks. To receive books, you need to issue a single reading card. Each point of issue accommodates 352 literary works. The assortment includes books by both domestic and foreign authors, including classics, school curriculum, popular science literature, detective stories, fiction and historical prose.
In 2024, book houses appeared in 10 parks in Moscow. Since the beginning of the project, more than one and a half thousand books have been issued. Anyone can independently take a book they like in just 5 minutes. Only a single reading card will be needed, - said the head of the Department of Culture of the city of Moscow Alexei Fursin. |
The lease period of the book shall not exceed thirty days. However, it can be extended remotely on the Moscow Library website. It is necessary to return the book to the same bookmat from which the reader took it.
The latest generation of touch screens provide a quick response, allowing Muscovites to receive books in just a few clicks. In addition, a full-fledged computer with software was introduced into the device, guaranteeing the operation of the machine. These solutions provide simple and convenient access to books, contributing to improving the comfort of the life of Muscovites, - said Vladimir Krikushenko, CEO of NexTouch. |
The screens were developed taking into account all the requirements of book machines, are distinguished by high wear resistance, are able to work around the clock and withstand large temperature differences, which allows you to operate the device in all weather conditions. The company's products are presented not only in Russia, but also abroad.
