Grass is one of the Russian manufacturers of professional auto chemistry and autocosmetics, products for the HoReCa segment, as well as household chemicals, cosmetics and much more. It has its own research center and laboratory. Production areas exceed 12 thousand square meters. m. The area of storage facilities is 30 thousand square meters. m.
In 2022, Grass, like many other Russian companies, faced the problem of import substitution. At the same time, demand for manufactured goods increased and purchase prices for materials changed, which led to difficulties related to planning, timely calculation of production costs and reporting.
There was a need to scale the company, expand the assortment, reconstruct the old ones, as well as build and launch new sites.
Grass initially used an individually created production planning and control system with mobile seats on tablets. It was based on the decision of a foreign developer.
Grass management understood that the current functionality of the IT system does not close all management tasks. In addition, there was a lack of efficiency and transparency, there was a need to improve the efficiency of production planning, timely supply of its materials and more accurate accounting of costs.
The most critical areas were:
- Distribution of responsibility for NSI management.
- Create a unified demand planning strategy using statistics and finding patterns.
- Create a production planning methodology.
- Develop a methodology to prevent incidents with undesirable consequences in the form of storage in warehouses of blocked raw materials, materials or products.
- Ensure synchronization of information on goods balances with the ability to edit materials movement documents only at the time of data entry .
- Improve marketing, increase the inclusion of the division in the business processes of the company, as well as create a system for evaluating its effectiveness.
After a thorough study of the capabilities of various products, the solution based on "1C:ERP Enterprise Management 2" was considered optimal, since it is with its help that all the diverse business processes of the company can be combined into a common consistent system.
When choosing partners, attention was paid to the quality of work, services, as well as expertise in the field of automation of large production companies with an extensive structure. As a result, the contractor became the implementation center "Razdolye," which meets all the requirements in the maximum way.
Project execution Razdolye specialists, acting together with the customer's team, solved a number of primary tasks: 1. They transferred disparate systems to a single 1C platform, adapting it to the specifics of the customer's business. 4. Implementation Results and Results As a result of the project, Grass received a unified Russian company management system, optimized for the specifics of existing business processes.
The following functionality was successfully implemented and implemented:
- "Procurement management" - planning of regular order of raw materials and materials taking into account statistics of their consumption and the level of irreducible balances, possibility to generate requests in case of one-time purchases. Analogues of various types of raw materials were loaded into the recipe base and tied to the main nomenclature.
- "Sales Management" with dedicated product areas; Various methods for accepting applications functionality of pre-orders through marketplaces; options for reservation and free implementation.
- "Production planning. Production Management "with the determination of shortages and the subsequent sending of production orders, automatic counting of redistributions and creation of orders for the transfer of materials, raw materials and finished products. Control the operational loop through tablets using the developed mobile application.
- "Functionality of laboratory tests accounting," which is necessary to save laboratory tests data, monitor indicators and create a QCD journal.
- "Experiment management" with creation of new product requisitions, preservation of new recipes and specifications, control of cost limit.
The data available to the customer was loaded into the system and prepared for further work. Razdolye also organized training for Grass employees to work with 1C:ERP and provided support and support for the system for the entire period of its experimental and industrial use.
The solution for choosing the configuration of the "1C:ERP" for creating the corporate information system was correct and, with active participation in setting tasks, testing and accepting the results of our own IT service (we understood that this is extremely important in the implementation of such projects), the implementation of a joint project with the contractor working group was successful.
