2024: Microfluidic Technology Center Opens
GC "Titan" - opened the Center for Microfluidic Technologies in the capital. They will produce high-tech equipment for the production of pharmaceutical substances, cosmetics, agrochemical and other products. This was announced on December 13, 2024 by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Government of Moscow for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov.
A comfortable investment climate has been created in Moscow, which contributes to the emergence of new industrial sites. As of December 2024, over 4.5 thousand enterprises operate in the city and about 150 more industries are launched annually. Thus, the Center for Microfluidic Technologies has opened in the capital, where the production of equipment for the manufacture of small and medium-tonnage chemistry products will be launched. For example, pharmaceutical substances, plant protection products, as well as substances for the production of engine oils and many other products in demand on the domestic and world market, - said Maxim Liksutov. |
Microfluidic technologies are a direction that works with microscopic volumes of liquids, nano-, crystalline and polymer particles, as well as individual living cells. Reactions take place in miniature sealed chips, where mixing is excluded, and the volumes of reagents are minimal.
Microfluidic technologies open new horizons in scientific research and industry. Their use makes it possible to more accurately control chemical reactions, conduct highly efficient analyzes and significantly reduce the amount of reagents consumed. Every year, the new Center plans to produce high-tech equipment - over 250 pumps, up to 1.8 thousand sets of microfluidic mixers and fittings and up to 360 tubular reactors, - said the Minister of the Government of Moscow, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Anatoly Garbuzov. |
Investments in new production are estimated at 140 million rubles.
The creation of microfluidic industries with equal equipment productivity requires lower capital costs compared to traditional ones, its volume is an order of magnitude less than classical production lines. As a result, we get high quality products at a relatively low cost, as well as safety, environmental friendliness and energy efficiency of the production process. With the opening of the Center, a new industry is being created in our country, which will deal with equipment for the microfluidic industry, "said Mikhail Sutyaginsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Titan Group of Companies. |
According to Arthur Smirnov, Director of the Department of Chemical Industry, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, we plan to consider and solve sectoral issues of the chemical industry within the framework of the New Materials and Chemistry national project.
We have to not only restore the elements of individual integrated chains that were lost in the 90s, but also develop new modern technologies to provide technological leadership. I emphasize that the domestic chemical industry needs new growth drivers and technological solutions more than ever. And microfluidic developments deserve special attention, "he added. |
