2024: Allocation of ₽160 billion for platform development
160 billion will be allocated for the creation of a single modular platform for Russian cars within five years. The main developer will be FSUE NAMI with the participation of the largest domestic automakers. This became known in December 2024.According to TASS, Tigran Parsadanyan, director of the department of the automotive industry and railway engineering of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, said that the emphasis will be on creating a platform for cars of classes C, D and E. AvtoVAZ, GAZ and KAMAZ will be involved in the implementation of the project.

Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov said that on the basis of the new domestic platform, it is planned to produce not only cars with internal combustion engines, but also hybrid cars and electric vehicles.
The government will provide additional funding to support the automotive industry in 2025. ₽36 billion will be allocated for the program of preferential car loans, ₽27 billion for preferential leasing. The basic discount on car loans will be 20% of the cost of a car with an internal combustion engine, for residents of the Far Eastern Federal District - 25%.
State support programs apply to medical workers, education workers, participants in a special military operation and members of their families, citizens with disabilities, as well as families with children purchasing cars in the Far Eastern Federal District. Under the terms of the program are cars worth up to ₽2 million, gaining at least 1.6 thousand points for localization.[1]
