2025: Chapter "Chernogolovka" bought Cybermass

JSC GK Healthy Lifestyle under the leadership of the General Director of JSC GK Chernogolovka Alexei Chetvergov acquired full control over LLC Berkana, a manufacturer of sports nutrition under the Cybermass brand. This is evidenced by the data of the SPARK database, published in early February 2025.

According to Kommersant, the Berkana company, created in 2013, specializes in the production of healthy and functional nutrition. The product line includes various types of protein products, supplements and vitamins.

According to the analytical company FitnessData, the Cybermass brand is among the top 15 sports nutrition manufacturers in Russia with a market share of less than 7%. Investment banker Ilya Shumov estimates the value of 100% shares in Berkan from ₽250 million to ₽300 million.

The analytical company Nielsen reports an increase in sales of dietary supplements, vitamins and minerals in Russian retail by 41.9% in monetary terms in 2024. On the Wildberries marketplace, the turnover of goods in the sports nutrition category increased by 40%.

The head of FitnessData Maxim Borovikov notes an active growth in the production of sports nutrition and supplements in Russia since 2022. This is due to the complication of the import of foreign analogues after the departure of large international suppliers.

For Alexei Chetvergov, this is not the first acquisition in the segment of sports nutrition. In 2023, he bought out the Prime Prime Kraft manufacturer, and also controls Vision Chain, Magic Stories and Plantago. Experts consider this market attractive due to the high margin of 30-40%.

In 2024, other investors are also active in the Russian sports nutrition market. Dietary supplement manufacturer Supplement Group acquired Healthy Planet, and healthy food manufacturer Masterfood bought the capacities of confectionery Biennale Group.^[1]
