2025: Launch of AI-Powered Digital Solution
EuroChem launches AI-based digital solutions with an annual effect of hundreds of million rubles. This was announced on February 24, 2025 by the Digital Technologies and Platforms company.
As reported, EuroChem continues to develop the direction of AI in chemistry and actively apply artificial intelligence and machine learning to optimize its production processes. Recommendation systems are one of the tools for safe and effective production management. The company has launched at its Nevinnomyssky Azot advisory systems based on AI, which help increase the production of complex fertilizers. The economic effect of one of them in 2024 amounted to 270 million rubles, from the other - is estimated potentially at 80 million rubles annually. The company continues to improve digital products and plans to scale them to other industrial sites.
One of the rexystems works on production lines in shop No. 18 of Nevinnomyssky Nitrogen. NPK fertilizers are produced here, which contain the main nutritional elements for plants - nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The process of producing such fertilizers is complex, since it involves mixing various components in carefully calibrated proportions in a strict temperature regime. Any deviations result in loss of product quality. The recommendation system allows the operator to assess the quality of finished products in real time and adjust the process to ensure that the products meet quality standards, minimize scrap and improve production efficiency.
After the introduction of the recommendation system into commercial operation, planned production increased by 1-4% on different brands of fertilizers. The economic effect of 270 million rubles. per year. EuroChem's recommendation system is unique in that it has additional useful services built into it. For example, the software solution analyzes how effectively a particular operator has performed his shift in terms of productivity and quality of finished products.
The software product is based on artificial intelligence, into which a large array of historical data is loaded. The program not only gives advice to the operator on the component composition of the product, but also promptly signals possible violations of the technology. If earlier the operator relied on the control of the chemical composition of the finished product, which was carried out every four hours, now the employee sees all the production parameters every minute. told Dmitry Chernyshov, Head of Process Improvement at ProTech Laba, EuroChem's Unified Corporate R&D Center |
This recommendation system is patented and is the intellectual property of EuroChem.
The second rexystem works in the Ammonia-1B workshop of the same enterprise. The IT solution helps to maintain the optimal values of technological parameters necessary for the effective use of raw materials and increase the output of the target product - ammonia. The increase in production is up to 1%, the reduction in the consumption factor for natural gas to 0.8%, which is confirmed by the successful results of balance sheet tests. The potential economic effect of the implementation of the system is more than 80 million rubles per year.
The recommendation system for the Ammonia-1B workshop is a replication of a set of recommendation systems developed for the nitric production chain (ammonia, nitric acid, carbamide) and previously successfully introduced at NAC Azot. This complex has already provided the company with a confirmed economic effect of more than 700 million rubles.
The project team consisted of specialists from different fields - technologists, programmers and. analysts data They have created a system that analyzes data from production, predicts possible deviations and offers optimal solutions to improve the efficiency of ammonia production processes.
The uniqueness of the project in the Ammonia-1B workshop is in the integration of the rexystem with the previously launched optimized process control system. Another important feature is that the solution development process was entirely based on EuroChem's digital industrial platform. noted Roman Katsai, Head of Digitalization of Mineral and Chemical Industries at Digital Technologies and Platforms |
