2025: Development of a comprehensive road traffic management scheme begins

SIMETRA Group of Companies, a competence center in the field of transport planning and modeling, has begun research work on the development of a comprehensive traffic management scheme (KSODD) and the formation of a program for the integrated development of transport infrastructure (PKRTI) in Ulyanovsk. The company announced this on February 26, 2025.

By order of the Department of Roads and Transport of the Ulyanovsk Administration, SIMETRA specialists will conduct a survey and make a detailed analysis of the current situation of the city's transport system, develop a transport model of Ulyanovsk, including using their own solution - the RITM³ digital platform, and also develop micromodels of the main problematic intersections. With their help, options for solving the identified problems will be calculated.

In addition, SIMETRA will offer options for optimizing the city's route network. Work on the project will be completed by October 2025.

We will work in Ulyanovsk for the first time. The city is interesting to us and transport features, and its history. We have already begun the development of methods for field surveys and the creation of a transport model of Ulyanovsk. This is an important stage: accurate data will help to understand the transport situation and identify problems, the digital twin of the city will help to take into account all aspects - from peak loads to infrastructure features, as well as design public transport routes.
