Within the framework of the Federal Target Programme "Global Navigation System (GLONASS)," commissioned by the Federal Maritime and River Transport Agency, Transas successfully completed the commissioning of its own GLONASS/GPS control and correction stations (KKS) on the inland waterways of the Russian Federation in the regions of Omsk, Khanty-Mansiysk and por.
The work carried out is aimed at the introduction of a unified technology for the use of the GLONASS system on the inland waterways of the Russian Federation.
KKS in the Ob-Irtysh basin and in the area of the city of Pechora will allow:
- significantly improve the accuracy of positioning of ships on GDP,
- reduce technical and commercial losses by reducing the likelihood of landing ships on the ground;
- Reduce the relative loss of running time and the unproductive downtime of ships in reduced visibility;
- To increase productivity by reducing the delay in the passage of ships in narrowness, in conditions of reduced visibility in the absence of a ship traffic control system;
- Improve navigation and hydrographic support for transport links in the region, including coastal waters, fairways, convergence routes, channels and port approaches.
At the same time, created local differential subsystems can be used to solve other socially and economically significant problems, such as high-precision binding of objects during construction and geological surveys, cadastral work, navigation of land mobile objects, control over the transportation of valuable and dangerous goods.
In addition: Control and correction station (CCS) manufactured by Transas is designed to operate as part of onshore stations, which provide determination and output of corrective information to GNSS GLONASS/GPS signals, GLONASS GPS integrity and quality control of differential navigation field.
