PSI Logistics manages a new warehouse complex of BAT company in St. Petersburg

To affiliated enterprise of PSI concern, PSI Logistics company, ItellaNLC logistics provider system implementation of management of the warehouse PSIwms on the warehouse terminal in the logistic park of Utkin Zavod in St. Petersburg for a support and maintenance of warehouse logistics of loads of BAT company (British American Tobacco) was entrusted.

Thanks to the new management concept the distributed PSIwms objects, the warehouse terminal in Utkina of the Creek managed by PSIwms from Moscow managed to be connected with a warehouse of BAT company in St. Petersburg. It is only the first step from three on centralization and consolidation of hardware and software solution of management of warehouse flows of BAT company. It is in the future going to connect one more regional warehouse of ItellaNLC company for management of a warehouse flow of BAT company with already existing central warehouse control system of PSIwms in Moscow. And at last the third step – to integrate the existing developments of PSIwms of the warehouse BAT into the central server of management of warehouse goods of BAT in Moscow.

Now in a warehouse in Utkina of the Creek mainly finished goods are stored. The warehouse already performs a set of transactions with loads of BAT company, using PSIwms most current release. The purpose of this project - optimization production and IT of business processes through their standardization, consolidation and centralization, increase in efficiency of ItellaNLC through the greatest possible automation of these processes. This project is carried out jointly by project teams of PSI Logistics and ItellaNLC companies with the assistance of experts from BAT company.

ItellaNLC was selected by BAT company as logistics provider from Russia the next five years. Such strategic decision was made taking into account the existing positive experience of application of PSIwms on already working object. Besides, the Customer paid attention to perspective of application of the management concept by the distributed structure of objects using which the effect of the approved interaction of all parts of a logistics system will be reached. PSI Logistics and Itella NLC, within the strategic partnership, already successfully implemented different projects in Russia.
