Bergauf uses Axelot WMS as warehouse management tool

AXELOT specialists were able to retain in WMS all the important specifics of the processes of the BERGAUF warehouse. Axelot announced this on May 28, 2025.

BERGAUF is a company that develops, manufactures and sells building materials.

One of the production sites is located in Sterlitamak. Due to the fact that the business is developing and the number of orders is increasing, BERGAUF management has concluded that manual warehouse management is becoming ineffective. In this regard, it was decided to comprehensively modernize the warehouse during production.

As a partner for its modernization project, BERGAUF chose AXELOT, a specialist in intelligent logistics management. AXELOT WMS was used to automate coherent and uninterrupted logistics processes at BERGAUF . The warehouse included in the project contour is three remote sites with a total area of 2,500 sq.m. The launch of WMS took place in two stages: first on one object, and then on the two remaining ones.

The main tasks that have been solved thanks to automation include ensuring transparency in the implementation of key processes, monitoring employee productivity, reducing time and, accordingly, financial costs, improving the quality of order processing, as well as optimizing the headcount and reducing dependence on the human factor. AXELOT WMS also allowed you to automate the monitoring of compliance with the FEFO principles and remaining shelf life, and all operations in the warehouse are carried out using shipping documentation and recorded in the system online.

The flexible functionality of AXELOT WMS and the experience of conducting such projects allowed the project team to implement a number of interesting solutions:

• Automated planning of stacking of goods taking into account the rule defining the number of pallets for each layer, which ensures the stability of the structure.
• The arrangement of unit and box sampling areas has greatly simplified the manual assembly process. This category of warehouse operations is now carried out without the use of special equipment and in advance - for the arrival of vehicles - which allows you to reduce the time of loading.
• Added option to take over and above the plan for shipment to production. This functionality is rarely used in other enterprises, it allows you to round the number to an entire storage place, increasing specific production in the processes of selection and movement of goods and optimizing the use of warehouse space.
• The completion process is set up: the customer regularly moves half-empty pallets to production, where they are completed with new products, which increases the percentage of utilization of available storage volumes.
• It is possible to accept into the storage cell without the process of acceptance through the shipping documentation: from the CIS comes information about the product, which is automatically received by the system and is immediately listed in the cell.
• A specific process of accounting for quality states is implemented. If obsolete or damaged products are found, the system changes the quality status to prevent the shipment of such goods from the warehouse.
• AXELOT WMS helps to control the quality of products in the warehouse: the system ensures that acceptance is carried out in compliance with clear regulations for quality verification and acceptance statuses. Shipping type "Shipment to NIC/Laboratory" has been added for scheduled sampling.

Shipment and acceptance plans are generated in AXELOT WMS based on data from the corporate information system. The exchange is implemented using Datareon Platform integration mechanisms.

Thanks to the implemented integration, information on actual commodity movement is automatically registered in the corporate information system, which allows departments that do not have direct access to information in WMS to quickly receive data on the operations performed.

The functionality of AXELOT WMS allows personnel to carry out inventory using shipping documentation, as well as control the quality of products both using shipping documentation and using a stationary computer.

As a result of the implementation of AXELOT WMS, BERGAUF was able to automate all key warehouse operations. The flexibility of setting up AXELOT WMS made it possible to take into account all the individual features of the company's warehouse logistics and maintain specific business processes, making them controlled and transparent.
