2025: Using the Compass-Composites Solution
The specialists of the United Engine Corporation designed the parts of the PD-14 aircraft engine from polymer composite materials using the domestic COMPAS-Composites system. Representatives of the UEC reported this on June 3, 2025.
The COMPASS-Composites system was created by the Russian IT company ASCON and is aimed at high-tech enterprises using composite materials that provide high strength, low weight and corrosion resistance of product parts. Modern materials are widely used at UEC enterprises in the creation of aircraft engines.
Experimental operation of the COMPAS-Composites system took place at the Perm design bureau UEC-Aviadvigatel. Designers with the help of domestic software designed a prototype part of the PD-14 aircraft engine.
{{quote 'The development of Russian software products goes to the finish line. UDC confidently imports software products in the field of PLM and CAD with the support of RFRIT. The COMPASS-Composites system has become an example of joint work of the UEC with the Russian IT company ASCON. The created CAD has all the necessary functions for designing parts of aircraft engines from polymer composite materials. The system has already shown high efficiency at the UEC-Aviadvigatel enterprise. Its application in the UEC design bureaus will ensure technological sovereignty in engine building, "said Vyacheslav Khristolyubov, director of digital transformation at UEC. }}
The use of domestic software improves the quality of parts of aircraft engines and accelerates the design and technological preparation of production by automating complex tasks. The COMPASS-Composites system allows you to design products taking into account the structure and properties of materials. Specialists can model layers, aggregates, analyze the behavior of the material in the manufacture of parts, identify and eliminate defects in the layout of layers, as well as generate data for design calculations and product production.
