Diasoft is not afraid to undertake the most courageous and difficult projects

Mikhail Lebedev, the vice president, the department director "Business activities and HR" of Diasoft company told TAdviser about new trends in the market of automation of banking institutions and experience of Diasoft company in this segment.

TAdviser: Diasoft specializes first of all in work in the financial sector. What is it explained by?


Mikhail Lebedev: Already more than 15 years of Diasoft automates intraeconomic business processes, implementing own innovative developments in the organizations. For these years we gained extensive experience with the largest credit and financial structures, telecommunications agencies, the construction and billing companies. It is quite difficult to be leaders in different areas therefore we concentrated the competence of the bank industry. And, of course, banks are the primary target client of Diasoft company, and we – one of departments of the company.

TAdviser: Whether you had to review a line of the offers in connection with the latest events and changes in financial market?

Mikhail Lebedev: Trends which are dictated by the market are often interconnected with requirements which customers impose to a product and its developer. For example, we will take consolidation of banks. Participating in consolidation process, banks begin to feel the need for the scalable systems capable to support work of multifilial structures and to work in close integration with already installed solutions. Of course, these criteria are important for all banks, but in a case with consolidation priorities will be placed quite so.

The Diasoft FA# Balance system differs in reliability and security, corresponds to requests of clients and allows to optimize processes of intraeconomic activity. The line of system modules continuously extends. For the last year we developed the new solutions supporting work with barcoding devices, voluntary pension insurance, settlings with creditors, submission of reports in electronic form, calculation of reserves on possible losses, balancing of pair accounts, accounting of foreign citizens. We made considerable processing of the solution for accounting of work with advance holders: accounting of traveling and representative expenses, work with corporate cards is added.

TAdviser: What problems of automation come to the forefront today? What can you offer the Russian financial companies in this regard?

Mikhail Lebedev: First of all, the order in accounting is necessary. On the one hand, it is the most obvious task, and with another – and the most problematic. Frequent market changes and all new requirements of the legislation involve need of upgrade of business processes and, as a result, architecture of business applications. Today it is very important to support operational accounting and updating of the legislation – timely and qualitatively. In this regard it is necessary not just to go in step with the market, accepting new calls, – it is important to be always one step away ahead, and for this purpose it is necessary to understand how the IT solution servicing the existing business processes can be adapted to new realities. Happens, specialists of our company initiate meetings with the staff of different divisions of the organization, in details paint business processes, do careful preproject inspection to overcome further separation in actions of departments and to integrate separate transactions in uniform business process.

TAdviser: Being one of the leading companies in IT market whether you feel the competition from the Russian or foreign vendors?

Mikhail Lebedev: The competition in the sector of banking software for economic accounting escalates, and all players feel it. The competition goes in all price segments. But Diasoft, as before, is one of leaders in this industry. For many years our company accumulated vastest experience of work in narrowly professional orientation, and today, using an extensive arsenal of knowledge in data domain and high competences of project implementation, we can warrant for quality of our solutions, and it means that clients are happy with us. As for foreign developer companies, their work in the Russian market was always complicated by dynamics and, so to say, unpredictability, complexity of the Russian legislation.

TAdviser: What do your solutions differ from offers of other companies in?

Mikhail Lebedev: The solution Diasoft FA# Balance has a set of advantages. Except the main advantages inherent in all systems with three-unit architecture, our system contains broad functionality, is in continuous development. In development, development and support of our solutions business analysts of the highest qualification, with extensive experience participate in data domains. Our system supports work of multifilial structures. The solution easily adapts to new requirements of the legislation and needs of specific clients. TAdviser: Tell, please, what non-standard approaches and solutions you managed to apply, implementing uncommon projects?

Mikhail Lebedev:  For all history of work of our department was so much interesting, unique, difficult, and sometimes and funny that, likely, it is possible to write the whole book. Despite difficulties which at us arose we always tried to obtain success. Today the total quantity of the projects implemented by us already passed for one hundred.

One of the most difficult, and therefore the most memorable became the project connected with installation of the centralized solution on accounting and the salary in Ingosstrakh company. Such tasks as registration of personnel, accounting of property, payroll accounting were automated, process support "cash desk bank" is provided. Final project stage assumed transfer of offline-systems to a new, centralized system of 70 branches at once. This work was performed in only 12 weeks. The order of implementation was such is that on Saturday and Sunday data of five branches were loaded into base. On Monday accountants got to work in a new system, and within a week we gave them intensive consulting support and all assistance, and on Friday started loading of the following five branches. It was especially heavy at the last stages of work with branches, but failure never was. Personally I about the projects similar on the scale of works and terms, at least, in Russia, do not know.

Interesting, more precisely, funny, there was a project when we sold to bank a system for conducting economic accounting, configured it, trained programmers, and in half a year it became clear that in bank based on our system the full core banking system – with the credits, deposits, "remote client user", etc. is already implemented.

Of course, also the very first projects were remembered. When for support of the employee who was in a business trip we suited night duties instantly to react to any request of the customer. The main thing that in the work we aim not only to make an intellectual contribution to business of our clients, but also we try to be the reliable partner. Therefore at us with all clients friendly relations are established, at least, constructive, business, and often, and. We periodically hold friendly meetings in the party format in which participate not only IT-shniki, but also direct business customers are accountants and personnel officers of insurance companies. Agree, it is pleasant in account policy of the largest bank instead of the words "Economic Accounting" to see "Master BALANCE". There are in banks specialists with whom we maintain the friendly relations more than 10 years. All this is a high rate of demand of our solution and reliability of Diasoft.

TAdviser: Share a secret how you and your command manage to try to obtain such progress?

Mikhail Lebedev: We do successful projects! In it our competences and knowledge are concentrated. It is one of value propositions of the company to our clients. Diasoft is not afraid to undertake the most courageous and difficult projects. They own all completeness of information on our clients and projects, have extensive experience in implementation of the most difficult tasks.

This knowledge is necessary also for the new staff of the company – without such practice it would be difficult to us to achieve that success and those positions of which we can be proud.
