2025: Road Safety Control Complex Production Launch

Rosatom on July 30, 2025 announced the launch of a domestic complex for road safety control.

The Russian software and hardware complex Meteor has been developed, certified and put into industrial production by Rosatom Infrastructure Solutions JSC (RIR, part of Rosatom State Corporation). The complex is designed to measure the speed of traffic on the roads and includes cameras of its own production and corresponding software. Its use increases the level of road safety. As of July 2025, a project is being implemented using Meteors on the roads of the Krasnodar Territory.

Meteor is a completely domestic solution with high metrological characteristics. The equipment and components are created at the own RIP production facilities. The solution is all-in-one: inside the case there is a video camera, a processor module, a climate controller, navigation, time and communication modules. Up to three rotary recognition cameras can be connected to the monoblock. The software is also developed by its own RIP specialists.

The complex allows not only to quickly record the speed of vehicles, but also to control the road situation for organizing traffic management. The equipment has passed all the necessary procedures and is included in the Unified Register of Russian Electronic Products in six modifications. In the Krasnodar Territory, the modification "METEOR PRO.01" was delivered. It can be used both stationary and in a mobile version, recording all events, including administrative offenses of the improvement rules.

Transport infrastructure is critical for the functioning of the economy, and the introduction of domestic solutions is a security issue. Meteor surpasses its foreign counterparts in many characteristics, is compatible with existing systems and can be integrated into the Intelligent Transport System of a city or region, as well as into the Safe City system, - notes Elena Lekomtseva, General Director of the developer of the Urban Technologies LLC complex (part of the RIR).
