2024: The volume of the Russian SAP market amounted to about 6-8 billion rubles

The volume of the Russian market for objective control systems (SOC) in 2024 amounted to about 6-8 billion rubles and with an annual growth of more than 35%, it may exceed 42 billion rubles by 2030. This information was shared with TAdviser on August 21, 2025 by representatives of IT companies Reksoft and Axon, who analyzed the domestic SAP market and identified the top 5 promising areas for technology implementation.

Objective control systems (SOCs) are a new and promising area of digital control of production processes. Unlike specialized computer vision (CV) solutions, SOC class systems are modular industrial platforms combining CV, SCADA, IoT, ML and event analytics tools.

IOC class platforms are modular industrial solutions designed for collection, analysis visualization and objective data from production lines, sites and warehouses. Their goal is to provide the customer with decision-making tools at three levels: linear for real-time control of operators and equipment, operational for control of regulations, quality, performance and safety and strategic, where aggregated information is provided to management in the form of dashboards end-to-end analytics and allows you to track the achievement of targets both KPI for the enterprise as a whole and for individual production areas.

"The need for such complex systems is growing. The business is facing a shortage of skilled personnel and more complex production processes. As an intermediate link between CV and MES, SOK has every chance of becoming a tool for sustainable growth of the enterprise and the transition to digital management, "commented Yuri Gusakov, CEO of Axon.

Continuous Production Area

One of the applications of SOCs are heat treatment sites with continuous product movement, such as, for example, tunnel pasteurizers and thermal seals. Here, the SOC allows you to monitor in real time the filling of the processing area, the correct loading of equipment, the uniformity of the temperature regime and prevent the risks of overheating or underheating of products. Through integration with thermal imagers, temperature sensors and video analytics, the system captures deviations and automatically signals to adjust the material feed rate or change the thermal regime.

Tooling

The implementation of IOC at the industrial processing stage solves such tasks as control of equipment and tools, analysis of operator actions, compliance with technological processes, timely detection of deviations in the process and prevention of scrap. The system allows you to assess the wear of the tool and timely predict maintenance, maintain high product quality and minimize equipment failures.

Robotic assembly

The use of SOC during the robotic assembly phase helps to solve a number of important problems related to the safety, performance and quality of the products. The implementation of the system makes it possible to ensure control over the correctness of the program execution by the robot, assessment of the serviceability of manipulators and other equipment, prevention of emergency situations, checking the quality of the collected products, minimizing human intervention in hazardous areas and the possibility of remote monitoring of the assembly process.

Product packaging

At the product packaging site, the IOC allows solving the following tasks: control of packaging compliance with corporate standards, control of compliance with the terms of reference, compliance with the applied marking, binding to the group marking of all individual markings inside the pallet, reducing the impact of the human factor on the quality of packaging and the correctness of marking.

Shipment to warehouse

The use of SAP in a warehouse can solve such tasks as reducing the number and timing of inventory, re-sorting and losses in case of incorrect shipment, monitoring incoming materials and shipments, reducing the cost of product labeling, monitoring and optimization of loader mileage, preparing for the introduction of warehouse robotic equipment, reducing the time spent by personnel in the warehouse, reducing the number of incidents involving equipment and people.

"We see serious prospects in objective control technologies. Modern manufacturing plants are in the face of increasing competition, a shortage of skilled personnel and a need for increased efficiency. To achieve a sustainable competitive advantage, enterprises need to introduce technologies that allow them to obtain objective data, as an extension of the field of obtaining information from classic sensors, and, together with APCS, automatically respond to deviations in the production process. SOK implements this approach by forming a digital core for managing a production line, workshop or even an enterprise, "commented Olga Makova, Director of the Industrial Automation Department of Reksoft, on the prospects for technology.
