2025: Ensuring the collection of validated biometrics
USB- currents Rutoken EDS 3.0 with USB-C connectors as part of PAC "" Biometrics provide safe access to EBS and certification of collected biometric data data in the service for T-bank on-site collection of biometric data. This was Asset (Active Software) announced on September 15, 2025.
The mobile solution used in T-Bank for the registration of confirmed biometrics (PAC Biometrics) is implemented on the KVADRA T tablets of the domestic vendor YADRO, which operate on the basis of the certified trusted OS Aurora, developed by Open Mobile Platform with the participation of the Center for Biometric Technologies, operator of the state Unified Biometric System (EBS). Aurora OS is a trusted Russian mobile platform that allows you to perform the procedure for mobile registration of confirmed biometrics in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
Rutoken EDS 3.0 devices are fully compatible with the mobile OS Aurora. In PAC Biometrics, certified FSB of Russia cryptographic Rutoken USB tokens are used to safely store unrecoverable keys of a qualified electronic signature (KEP), sign biometric data and build a secure GOST-TLS channel. Miniature nano tokens with a USB-C connector are convenient for use on tablets: their size prevents damage to the USB connector and ensures comfortable use by bank employees.
The service for the field collection of biometrics has become in demand amid changes in legislation and the rapid growth of biometric data - 81 million samples in the banking sector by the beginning of 2025, which is 57% more than in the previous year. It also fits the online bank's business model with no branches. Previously, all requirements for collecting biometric data could only be met in specially allocated premises in bank branches, which required additional costs.
{{quote 'author=noted Pavel Anfimov, Deputy Director for Product Management at Aktiv. | We are pleased that together with colleagues from T-Bank and the Open Mobile Platform, Aktiv took part in the development of the first mobile solution on the Russian market for field registration of biometrics. This is an excellent example of how domestic components produce a solution that on the one hand meets the most stringent security and certification requirements, and on the other hand, effectively solves a specific business problem,}}
| Together with Aktiv and Open Mobile Platform, we have created a solution based on Russian technologies - the Aurora mobile operating system and certified cryptography tools. The use of Rutoken EDS 3.0 ensured the legal and convenient use of an electronic signature. But without the activity and involvement of T-Bank, the introduction of such a solution into the CBT ecosystem would be extremely difficult. Such projects form the national trust infrastructure and show that digital sovereignty is built step by step - through real services that strengthen confidence in digital identity and EBS, noted Evgeny Semenov, Deputy General Director of the Center for Biometric Technologies.
