2025: Creating a Quantum-Stable TLS Gateway
QApp and S-Terra announced to TAdviser on September 19, 2025 the completion of a pilot project to develop the first domestic quantum-resistant TLS gateway - a solution capable of protecting the network traffic of the state and business from attacks using both classical and quantum computers.
According to the developers, the product is integration a software and hardware complex "TLS-Gateway" of the company "S-Terra" with software solutions PQС GATE PQC SDK and QApp development. The solution is designed to provide promising protection for web portals and enterprise applications based on cryptographic algorithms a new generation that are resistant to attacks using both traditional and quantum computers.
The quantum-stable TLS gateway includes three key components:
- TLS-Gateway is a hardware and software complex designed to protect access to corporate network resources. Provides TLS connectivity and protection for networks of all sizes.
- PQС GATE - client-server ON to create encrypted - TCP tunnels using. post-quantum cryptography
- PQC SDK is a library of post-quantum algorithms of domestic implementation and tools that simplify their integration into final solutions of business clients.
The solution allows you to organize a quantum-stable TLS tunnel - a connection using the TLS version with post-quantum algorithms.
Within the framework of the S-Terra project, QApp conducted comprehensive tests of an integrated solution in a limited perimeter of information systems. The functional acceptance confirmed the compliance of the product with all declared information security requirements.
| "The integration of post-quantum algorithms into our TLS gateway significantly increases the level of protection of our clients' corporate data from future quantum threats," commented Mikhail Ivanov, CEO of S-Terra CSP. |
According to QApp and S-Terra, successful tests of the pilot project pave the way for the mass introduction of the tested technology. As soon as the necessary state standards are approved, such secure gateways can be used everywhere to protect Internet banking, state portals and corporate networks. The companies plan to further develop cooperation in this direction.
