2025: Attracting ₽100 Million Investments
In September 2025, the venture capital fund Rising"" announced the launch of the Flymar project to create an autonomous electric hydrofoil passenger vessel. The new company attracted ₽100 million investments from the fund and the business angel. The project was the first for Voskhod, implemented according to the venture builder model, in which the foundation initiated and assembled a development team from scratch to create a high-speed driverless vessel. Dmitry Filatov, who previously headed the venture capital fund, became the co-founder and head of the direction. Sistema VC
The Flymar project includes the development of three key technologies - an intelligent autonomous navigation system, an energy-efficient electric drive and the creation of a passenger vessel on underwater T-wings. Ruslan Sarkisov, managing partner of the Voskhod Foundation, described the venture builder model as a promising tool for creating companies in niches that are not filled in Russia.
Dmitry Filatov explained the key principle of the development of "Autonomy First" - the primacy of creating intelligent systems with the subsequent construction of ships around them. According to him, the ship is the tip of the iceberg and the final point of integration of all developed systems into the finished product. The company develops IT solutions for stabilizing the vessel on the T-wing, an autonomous control system and an optimized electric drive integrated with the software stack.
The first model will be a nine-meter-long Flymar F9 to carry up to 10 passengers at a target speed of 45-50 km/h and a range of 80 km. The use of hydrofoils allows the vessel to be operated in shallow water, and the bow loading door design simplifies mooring procedures under various conditions.
Pre-orders for the F9 model are scheduled to open in early 2026. In the future, the company intends to develop a larger Flymar F12 model, designed to carry 30 passengers to serve busier routes and commercial traffic.[1]
