ANO "Laboratory" Sensor-Tech "was founded in 2016 with the support of the BF" Foundation for the Support of Deaf-Blind "Co-Unity." The laboratory was created for the development in Russia and the world of technologies and products for citizens with hearing and vision impairment (including deaf-blind people). Research and development topics capture areas of science and technology such as bioengineering, biotechnical systems, nanoelectronics and electrical engineering, information and communication systems, neurology and neurophysiology, genetics and other areas.

Among the projects of the Sensor-Tech Laboratory: the See My World ophthalmic VR simulator, which simulates various visual impairments; Appendix "Bill Determinant" for Blind Persons; a smart assistant for the blind "Robin" and a speech recognition device "Charlie."

  • In 2017, the Sensor-Tech Laboratory participated in the first operations in Russia to install a bionic implant for people with impaired vision.
  • In 2019, Sensor-Tech became a resident of the Skolkovo Foundation. The laboratory works with the support of the NeuroNet OS and the AURA-Tech Association. The Robin and Charlie projects are being implemented as part of the National Technology Initiative roadmap.
