2025: Agroholding Automation

On October 16, 2025, 1C announced that 1C: First Bit automated the work of August-Agro, a large Russian agricultural holding. The updated corporate information system, created on the basis of 1C:MDM Regulatory Reference Information Management, covered 12 August-Agro enterprises. With the help of the 1C: Shina ESB system, all the holding's solutions are combined into a single IT landscape, including 1C:MDM, 1C: Holding Management, industry accounting system for agro-industrial complex enterprises, 1C: Payroll and HR Management, 1C: Accounting, etc. Standardized and unified management of regulatory reference information (NSI), organized centralized procurement of raw materials and materials, created an effective system of accreditation of suppliers, implemented a competitive procurement mechanism with automatic selection of the winner. Purchase requisitions are processed 25% faster, supplier accreditation time is reduced by 30%. The preparation of management reports accelerated by 60%, the turnover of the warehouse increased by 20%, production costs were reduced by 14%, orders are executed 30% faster.

August-Agro centralized the management of NSI and procurement at 12 enterprises with the help of 1C:MDM and 1C: Shina

As reported, August-Agro is a domestic agricultural producer, whose assets for 2025 include 270 thousand hectares of land in Russia and 14 thousand hectares in Kazakhstan, high-speed elevators and grain drying complexes, modern dairy complexes, more than 1.5 thousand units of agricultural machinery and equipment.

The holding structure includes twelve enterprises that produce crop production and animal husbandry, produce seeds of grain, leguminous and oilseeds, organize the storage and transshipment of products, supplies and repair of agricultural machinery. In the regulatory reference information system - more than 150,000 elements: organizations, divisions, product names, counterparties, contracts, types of work, etc.

Project prerequisites

Previously, the management of NSI and purchases in the holding was not automated. There was no single tool for managing directories. The information was duplicated, errors occurred in the classification of the item, calculation of cost, accounting for balances in the warehouse. There were no regulations for interaction with suppliers, and the process of their accreditation was carried out separately for each company. Applications for participation in competitive procurement were collected in spreadsheets, which took a significant time for managers. Various technical difficulties arose.

The company needed an information system that would unify regulatory reference information, build a single corporate procurement scheme and create a convenient tool for interacting with suppliers. Another important task was the integration of all information systems of the holding into a single IT landscape.

Project implementation

The "1C:MDM Regulatory Reference Information Management" and the ESB system (enterprise service bus) "1C: Bus" were chosen as the solution. The implementation partner was the company "1C: First Bit - m. Sports."

During the project, a comprehensive diagnosis of business processes was carried out in various divisions of the holding, including the elevator under construction, grains, a bakery, and a seed plant. The 1C:MDM Regulatory Reference Information Management system is deployed at 118 workplaces. Solutions have been integrated. In addition, the unified corporate IT landscape includes "1C: Holding Management," "1C: Accounting," "1C: Payroll and HR Management," project management systems and project documentation.

The exchange data between the elements of a single integrated system is carried out in real time. The log of integration flows is implemented, which allows automatic monitoring of exchanges, automatically records the reason, vulnerabilities notifies the administrator and offers options for correction. Changes made to the data structure to the business logician and systems are instantly displayed in integration flows. Flexible data transformation rules are set up when transferring between information systems (for example, automatic matching of reference items when the data structure does not match). If the solution configurations are updated, the integration flows are automatically rebuilt with the updated parameters.

Key Project Deliverables

  • An updated concept of regulatory reference information management has been implemented: A unified master data model has been created in the 1C:MDM system. The NSI was normalized: more than 4,500 takes were eliminated, more than 3,000 items of the nomenclature were correctly distributed in the directories. Reference data is transferred to other IT solutions of the holding through 1C: Shina. Requests for creation or modification of reference items go through several stages of control and processing. When forming an application, the system performs an automatic double check, after which it is sent for approval to the NSI specialist. After the request is confirmed, a new element is created or updated in the reference book, and updated data is automatically sent to related information systems. If a counterparty is added to the directory, and the data on it is filled in automatically on the basis of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the correctness of the data is checked by the NSI bot, if the check is passed, an entry in the directory is created automatically, and if inconsistencies are detected, the application is submitted to the NSI service specialist for correction.
  • A unified corporate procurement management system has been built: A supplier's personal account has been created, which provides centralized interaction with the agricultural holding and automates participation in procurement procedures. The Supplier has access to the personal account after successful accreditation. For accreditation, the supplier submits a single package of documents for working with the management company (MC) and all enterprises of the holding. The Criminal Code checks and confirms documents. After accreditation, the provider becomes a trusted provider. If the status in the management company is lost, work with it is automatically blocked in all agricultural companies of the holding. The changes made are instantly synchronized with the order and settlement management systems. The system monitors the accreditation periods automatically, 30 days before the expiration of the accreditation period, the supplier receives a notification about the need to renew the status. If the supplier's statutory documents change, the system automatically initiates re-accreditation with notification of the responsible person. In case of non-compliance with corporate requirements of the holding, the system automatically rejects accreditation and sends a request for re-submission of documents. After accreditation, the supplier gets access to the full archive of interaction with the agricultural holding. Thus, it was possible to unify the accreditation process and reduce the time for coordinating documents. Accreditation of suppliers accelerated by 30%. Cases of concluding contracts with unconfirmed suppliers are excluded. A competitive purchasing system is organized using the supplier's personal account. The LC displays a list of active lots with detailed information about the subject of procurement, terms, scope and conditions of delivery. The supplier receives real-time notifications of new lots and can submit quotations indicating prices and delivery conditions. In addition, a full archive of interaction with the agricultural holding is available to the supplier in his personal account - correspondence, status of applications and the results of procurement procedures. The system automatically evaluates proposals based on the specified parameters. If there are similar offers from different suppliers, the winner is determined by the sum of the rating indicators. If the offer does not meet the requirements, the request is rejected with the indication of the reasons, and the supplier can adjust his offer. When the purchasing procedure is complete, the system automatically records the status of the winner and draws up the contract. In addition, the system promptly generates reports on the effectiveness of procurement and compliance of proposals with the requirements of the holding. As a result, the company received a procurement management system, which allows you to automatically choose the most favorable conditions and exclude the risks of violation of contractual obligations. The processing of applications accelerated by 25%. Management controls purchases online. The risks of concluding contracts at unreasonably high prices have been reduced. Cases of violation of the terms of procurement or selection of a supplier bypassing the management company are completely excluded.
  • Reliable control over integration processes through the 1C: Bus data service bus is provided. Previously, integration support was carried out by external contractors, now it is not necessary to involve external specialists. Configuring integrations has been simplified, reducing the time required to incorporate new IT solutions into the IT landscape.
