Iceberry moves to hybrid IT infrastructure and places 1C:ERP in "K2 Cloud"

Customers: Iceberry

Product: K2 Cloud (formerly Cloud Croc)

Project date: 2025/06  - 2025/12

2025: Transition to "K2 Cloud" begins

The Iceberry group of companies began the transition to a hybrid IT infrastructure and moved an ERP system based on 1C to K2 Cloud. K2 Cloud (K2 Integration) announced this on January 13, 2026.

Before the start of the project, Iceberry worked completely on the on-premium infrastructure. In the process of upgrading ERP at one of the production facilities, it was proposed to conduct load tests in the cloud to clarify the required resources. This helped to objectively estimate future costs while reducing the operational burden on the internal IT team.

According to the results of the competition, K2 Cloud was chosen as the provider. Experts have carefully worked out the architecture of the cloud infrastructure under 1C:ERP, designing a solution based on two dedicated servers and a public cloud within one data center. This approach ensured the stable operation of the ERP system, high availability and the ability to scale for any load. The resulting configuration became the basis for further replication to other production sites of the company.

One of the priority tasks of the project was to build a safe one. backup Some of Iceberry's infrastructure solutions are built on virtualizations VMware and use Veeam Backup as a corporate standard. As part of the project, K2 Cloud engineers have developed an architecture that allows you to transfer local backups to secure S3 storage. This ensured reliable data storage and recoverable recovery to both the local infrastructure and the cloud.

Another area was the formation of a full-fledged cybersecurity strategy. The K2 Cloud team has developed a defense architecture against key attack vectors and a comprehensive implementation plan for both on premium and cloud solutions.

The move to the cloud was an important step toward modernizing our IT systems. We have a stable, fault-tolerant and fully predictable environment for the 1C:ERP to operate. At the same time, the K2 Cloud approach allowed us not only to transfer the system, but to build an architecture that will scale up with the business, "said Yuri Litvenchuk, head of infrastructure at Iceberry.

Placement of 1C in the K2 Cloud ensured stable operation of ERP without failures and the possibility of further replication of the solution to other production sites. The transition to hybrid infrastructure will increase capacity without capital expenditures, and comprehensive cybersecurity measures will protect the company's technology processes.

The K2Tex Comprehensive Service Expertise Center has provided a full cycle of support for Iceberry's geodistributed IT infrastructure. The center's experts work with products from various suppliers, including vendors such as Linux, Microsoft, Cisco, Maipu. Specialists ensure the stable operation of a large stack of IT solutions - from virtualization platforms and operating systems to network equipment and security systems in Moscow, Moscow and Yaroslavl regions. The center's team deals with 24/7 incident response, counseling and in-depth diagnostics. The implemented service model made it possible to maintain stable operation of critical systems.

This project showed how effectively the cloud model works for the manufacturing business, where a combination of stability, flexibility and clear SLAs are required. We provided the optimal infrastructure for 1C:ERP, developed a backup solution for VMware requirements and began to form a cybersecurity strategy for several years to come, "said Elena Butkova, K2 Cloud product manager.
