Biography

1971-2023

Konstantin Golubev was born on August 30, 1971 in the city of Sebezh, Pskov Region. He graduated from St. Petersburg State Maritime Technical University, after which he served in the Russian Navy. Doctor of Technical Sciences, laureate of the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology (2011). He was awarded the Order of Sea Merit (2019).

Since 1997, Golubev worked at the Central Maritime Design Bureau, "Diamond" where he went from an ordinary employee to a chief engineer. In July 2023, he took the post of general director of this enterprise.

2026: Appointment as CEO of the Northern Design Bureau

In mid-January 2026, Konstantin Golubev was appointed to the post of General Director of the Northern Design Bureau (Northern Design Bureau). In this position, he replaced Olga Ostapko, who led the enterprise since 2022.

The Northern Design Bureau, part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, is engaged in the design of combat surface ships of various classes, including destroyers and cruisers. The bureau, as noted, has introduced a modern computer-aided ship design system, consisting of separate local modules connected to each other in a single complex. This platform covers all the main design stages - from creating a 3D model of the surface of the ship's hull, laying pipelines, electric tracks, ventilation and air conditioning systems to issuing working design documentation based on electronic layout data.

The Bureau, as reported on its website, cooperates with large scientific and technical centers and shipbuilding plants, which include the Almaz Shipbuilding Company, Baltic Shipbuilding Plant,,,,,,,, etc East ShipyardZelenodolsk plant named after A.M. Gorky "Pella" "North Shipyard"Sevmash "Amber".[1]
