Flexible pre-authentication rule management
The company Indid"" on March 12, 2026 introduced cloud service multifactor authentication the Indeed MFA update. Among the key changes are flexible control of preliminary rules, authentications advanced support for RADIUS attributes, improved control of user directory synchronization and the ability to assign a priority token.
One of the key changes was the ability to change the order of the pre-authentication policy rules. This policy defines the conditions under which a user is allowed to authenticate with one-time passwords or PUSH notifications. It consists of rules with one or more conditions: within the rule, the logical "AND" is applied, between the rules - "OR," so their sequence affects the result of the check. Administrators can now customize the order and priority of rules on their own, which allows you to more flexibly adapt security policies to the specifics of your enterprise infrastructure.
In addition, the Indeed MFA cloud service received extended support for RADIUS attributes. With RADIUS integration, the system can return additional attributes after successful authentication. This feature is needed to support the expansion of integration capabilities and authorization - for example, for the work of dynamic groups. Now you can return several RADIUS attributes of the same name, specifying different values through semicolons. The configuration is available to both users and groups, making access control and integration with external systems easier.
System administrators have the ability to independently set the synchronization interval for the user directory in the SAS console. The parameter specifies the time period at which the LSA agent sends information about changes in the user directory. Flexible spacing optimizes infrastructure load and accelerates data updates in the authentication system.
To increase the transparency of the system in the administration console, Indid additionally added an information field with the agent synchronization status. If LSA errors occur on the agent side, the system displays the corresponding indicator - an exclamation mark icon. This helps administrators identify and respond quickly to possible synchronization problems faster.
Another change to Indeed MFA was the ability to assign a priority token to the user - both through the administration console and independently through the self-service portal. The function is relevant when using users of several tokens of the same type. Assigning a priority token allows the system to automatically send a confirmation request to the selected authenticator.
| We continue to improve cloud services to protect identity from Indide, focusing on ease of administration and customization flexibility. The Indeed MFA update is already available to its users and aims to develop secure authentication tools and improve the ease of access control in enterprise systems. The new capabilities of the service allow you to more accurately manage authentication scenarios, quickly identify possible synchronization problems and simplify the work of users, "said Galust Shahbazyan, Commercial Director of Indid Cloud. |
