Directions of AI application in jurisprudence and document management

For 2024, Spydell Finance identified the following areas of application of AI in animation, accounting and document management.

Analysis of legal documents

Analysis of large volumes of legal documents (court decisions, laws, acts and commercial and state contracts). AI can help lawyers find the necessary information faster and identify patterns that can be used to make more informed decisions.

Document automation

Automate the process of creating and processing legal documents such as contracts, lawsuits, applications, protocols, and digital signatures. AI can generate these documents based on set parameters and standards, which reduces time and the likelihood of human error.

Improving the quality of documents in accordance with current national and international legislation

AI can track all innovations in law in real time, adapting the documentation to the law in time.

Legal Risk Prediction

Forecasting potential legal risks for companies and individuals by analyzing legislative changes, court decisions and other legal trends.

Personalization of Legal Services and Virtual Assistant

AI can act as a highly professional lawyer for free, quickly and unmistakably. AI can help create personalized legal advice and advice, taking into account the specific circumstances and needs of the client.

Search for documents and predict the outcome of court cases. How artificial intelligence is already replacing lawyers

Artificial intelligence is increasingly used in the legal sphere to carry out a variety of tasks - from analyzing documents to predicting the outcome of court cases. At the same time, the introduction of neural network algorithms in this area poses certain dangers. The benefits and risks of using AI are described in materials from Ultralytics and Sberbank, which TAdviser got acquainted with in mid-November 2025.

One of the key advantages of introducing AI in the field of jurisprudence is the acceleration of information processing. Neural networks are able to analyze and systematize huge amounts of data with high efficiency, including legislation, court decisions and precedents, which significantly reduces the time for routine operations. AI is used to search for documents, classify them, compare versions and prepare standard letters, which allows employees to focus on more creative and strategic aspects of the work.

Artificial intelligence already performs legal tasks such as finding documents and predicting the outcome of court cases

AI minimizes human errors when working with large amounts of data, identifying and interpreting information with high accuracy. Neural networks are able to analyze materials on previous court cases in order to predict possible outcomes: this gives lawyers valuable information to form a strategy. In addition, neural networks help identify fake documents by comparing signatures with deliberately genuine samples. AI systems replace laborious manual processes in the collection and classification of information, the preparation of draft letters and agreements. AI is able to quickly find and extract from contracts the rights and obligations of parties, even if they are scattered throughout the document. Plus, AI algorithms can provide analytics and guidance to help lawyers make more informed decisions.

AI-based special agents make it easier to interact with customers. In particular, chatbots can provide information automatically at high speed and at any time of the day. AI allows law firms to scale the business and increase the amount of work done without proportionately increasing the number of personnel, which reduces costs. Thanks to faster operations and improved accuracy, lawyers can provide clients with faster and better service: this strengthens the company's reputation and therefore contributes to an increase in the flow of clients.

Another area of application of AI in the legal field is monitoring of courtrooms. AI-based computer vision systems can perform facial expression, body language, and voice tone analysis to determine emotional state and identify potentially false claims. So AI-based systems are capable of providing valuable information that can help ensure fairness, transparency and accuracy in litigation.

At the same time, a number of factors stand out that restrain the introduction of AI in the field of jurisprudence. One is the need to protect sensitive data. Generative AI can hallucinate, that is, give out plausible but fictitious information: it requires careful scrutiny by lawyers. AI is not able to assess legal issues from the point of view of ethics or understand the true will of the client outside of formal words, which is especially important in the interpretation of treaties. There is also the problem of algorithmic bias associated with the peculiarities of the data arrays on which the AI model was taught. In certain situations, AI can be used to create fraudulent schemes or to mislead people.[1]

How generative artificial intelligence is applied in jurisprudence. 6 main cases

Generative artificial intelligence (GiI) is able to transform legal departments by improving efficiency, reducing risk, and innovating day-to-day operations. Analysts Gartner in a review dated February 19, 2025 outlined six main options for using Genia in jurisprudence.

1. Contract Processing/Data Extraction

GeneAI can revolutionize contract work by automating information extraction and classification. Based on the obtained data, a special searchable database can be formed that significantly improves performance in performing certain tasks, such as control after signing documents and comprehensive verification. This will significantly reduce the burden on employees, which will lead to improved efficiency and optimization of resources. However, in some cases, additional training of AI models or the creation of customized versions of them may be required.

2. Automated Contract Analysis

GIs can speed up the process of analyzing contracts by identifying provisions that do not meet accepted standards. In this case, automatic adjustments can be made in certain situations. This approach will help improve operational efficiency.

3. Summary of legal documents

Usually, a professional lawyer takes several hours to read and summarize a voluminous document. Genia is able to cope with such a task in a matter of seconds. Artificial intelligence can form brief summaries, highlighting key points and important points. This improves employee productivity, allowing you to get important information and make informed decisions faster. At the same time, various AI-based summarization tools are available. At the same time, human control is needed to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the generated content.

4. Sorting

GIs can significantly speed up the sorting process of incoming documents by quickly analyzing the details of requests and automatically classifying them by type, region, level of risk and urgency. After such an analysis, documents can be automatically sent to the relevant legal departments. In certain situations, Genia can form automated responses or document templates, allowing staff to focus on more complex tasks.

5. Transcription

GeneAI can effectively translate speech into text and compress the resulting documents into brief summaries with key points and conclusions. This improves productivity, freeing employees from routine operations that can be time-consuming. When working with the text, AI will help with the generation of ideas, the preparation of a structure and a thesis plan. The technology saves time by automatically creating excerpts, and after the necessary training, it can be quickly implemented in different departments.

6. Risk analysis

GeniII, trained on a huge amount of quality data, is potentially able to identify risks in contracts. Anticipating possible legal problems, specialists will be able to take preventive measures and protect the interests of the client. This will help prevent financial or temporary losses.
