2022: How to use blockchain to ensure supply transparency

Although blockchain often talked about in 2022 in connection cryptocurrency with (and this attracts attention), it is used supply chains in to provide greater transparency and transparency.

For the annual industry report "Sustainability Based on Innovation," released at the end of 2021, MHI and Deloitte interviewed more than 1,000 supply chain professionals from around the world about innovation investments in logistics. They found that 10% of companies surveyed planned to invest in blockchain and distributed registry technologies through 2024. Chinese automakers will use blockchain to transfer data between machines

In early May 2021, the China Automobile Manufacturers Association (CAAM) held a congress on the protection of data of connected cars. ITMO University proposed using blockchain to monitor the safety of unmanned vehicles

Employees of the Faculty of Security of Information Technologies of ITMO University have proposed a method for using the blockchain system to monitor the traffic situation. The university announced this on February 21, 2020. Read more here.

SITA, together with key airline industry partners, forms MRO Blockchain Alliance

Key partners in the air business have launched the MRO Blockchain Alliance, a massive study on the use of blockchain technologies to track air routes and flight records aboard aircraft. This was reported on February 4, 20120 by SITA, an IT supplier for the aviation industry.

In the coming months, the alliance intends to launch a project that will allow it to accumulate experience and record the possibilities of using blockchain to track transactions, move aircraft and maintain parts. Such a study will cover a wide range of companies operating in the air business. They will include airlines, landlords, original equipment (OEM) and engine manufacturers, as well as logistics companies and repair service providers. Read more here.

2017: Results of pilot test of blockchain system by airlines and airports revealed

In November 2017, SITA Lab, the research arm of the company's air transport IT solutions provider, SITA published the findings of its FlightChain study: 'smart contracts' for shared control of data?[1]dedicated to 'smart contracts' based on Blockchain technology, which was carried out in conjunction with the airline, and British Airways Heathrow Airport international airports Geneva and Miami. 2016: Thanks to blockchain, air carriers plan to save up to $1 billion a year on banks

In December 2016, the International Air Transport Association IATA launched a pilot project on blockchain technology. With the help of settlements on the blockchain, airlines included in IATA expect to save up to $1 billion a year on servicing banks and services of international payment systems.
