Can I get poisoned by chocolate?
Theobromine contained in chocolate can in principle cause intoxication in humans, but purely theoretically.
The dangerous dose is 1000 mg/kg of weight, which is tens of kilograms per person, depending on the weight. And in a hundred-gram bar of milk chocolate theobromine only 150-220 mg.
True, grapefruits slow down the decomposition of theobromine, so combining these fruits with chocolate, especially dark, is not worth it - you can get an overdose.
