Ukraine introduced a space program that is estimated at $1.5 billion

According to the project, its implementation will, among other things, allow the development of a set of the latest rocket and space technology in the framework of system projects for the creation of promising light/medium-class launch vehicles to ensure access to space and participation in international projects.

In addition, it is noted that one of the main goals of the program will also be the creation of technical and legal conditions for the development of telecommunications systems in Ukraine using geostationary and low-orbit satellite communication and broadcasting systems, its own terrestrial systems of coordinate-time and navigation support using global navigation satellite systems GPS, Galileo, Beidou, etc.

The authors of the program expect that it "will positively affect the implementation of projects for the creation of promising light-class launch vehicles, the study of near-Earth space, as well as the development of devices and technologies for the participation of Ukraine in promising international projects, such as the study of the moon."

Ukraine also intends to expand cooperation with the European Space Agency to obtain the country's membership in this organization.[1]
