Control over the money and property of officials and their loved ones in the Russian Federation will now be carried out in real time through the Poseidon GIS
On December 16, 2025, the State Duma of Russia adopted a package of laws aimed at strengthening anti-corruption control. Legislative initiatives provide for the introduction of a system for continuous monitoring of the income and property of civil servants and their families. Exemption of officials from annual declaration of income
In December 2025, the State Duma adopted a package of laws to change the system for declaring income, expenses and control over the property of officials, transferring control from periodic to continuous. One of the laws clarifies the list of persons in respect of whom the obligation is established to provide information on income. The second law provides that members of the government will be obliged to provide the president with information on income provided for by the law "On Combating Corruption," only in two cases: when appointed to the post and if there are grounds for submitting information.[1]

In the fall of 2022, Igor Krasnov said that 800 officials were fired for corruption in Russia in a year and a half. The head of the department added that since after the dismissal of the official due to the loss of confidence, he has no right to exercise his powers for five years, as well as data on him are entered in the public register formed by the government, this "mechanism can be considered both as a measure of influence and as a way of prevention."
Earlier, the Constitutional Court (CC) clarified that property can be confiscated from any person, and not only from officials and members of their families who are subject to the law on control over the expenses of civil servants. The Constitutional Court considered this issue in connection with the complaints of the former colonel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Dmitry Zakharchenko, his relatives and acquaintances. Earlier, property totaling more than 9 billion rubles was seized from them.
The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation has developed amendments to the Civil Code, allowing the seizure of not only property from corrupt officials, but also money from accounts. The decision on confiscation will be made by the court.[2]
