The All-Russian educational project "Digital Journalism" started

In Russia the serious shortage of journalists who understand in the field of IT is felt: technologies, business, impact of digital transformation on society, modern threats, etc. The All-Russian educational[1]project "Digital Journalism" should help with the solution of this problem.



"Digital journalism" - to give a project objective to the acting journalists of knowledge of how technologies and digital services who creates them as they transform activity of the state, medical, financial, logistic, agricultural, utility and other spheres are arranged.

Information technologies now more than ever show the importance and need. Help people to work in isolation mode of IT far off, and to business to remain afloat. It is substantial support of economy. The project is started using a grant of the President of the Russian Federation provided by Fund of presidential grants with organizational support of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications, Union of journalists of Russia, the Civic chamber of the Russian Federation and analytical center TAdviser.

In learning process we will tell listeners both about basic concepts of the IT area, and about practical application of technologies. Let's acquaint with key players of the market, we will explain what role in digital development is played by the state. We put these and other questions in the course program, and as lecturers we invite the leading industry experts, - the ideologist of the project, the Chief Editor of analytical center TAdviser Alexander Levashov says

During the project it is going to train free of charge over 3000 people from all Russia. In total organizers intend to spend more than 200 hours of lectures on the educational modules covering different aspects of IT and digital economy. Technology support to the project is given by the Russian developers TrueConf and P7 Office.

Before the termination of the mode of self-isolation online through the system of a video conferencing will be trained. Such mode will allow to bring closer educational process to an internal format as much as possible. Besides, written homeworks will understand in real time professional journalists and editors. After removal of the mode of self-isolation internal occupations will begin.

We support any actions and any work which is directed to increase in digital literacy of the population. The digital literacy should extend as to ability to behave in a digital medium, and on professional knowledge about those programs which exist in the country, on its development and further progress.
