2025: Effective
On February 1, 2025, GOST came into force in Russia in the field of smart home systems for high-rise buildings. The document was developed in order to create comfortable and safe living conditions for citizens in apartment buildings, provide inventory, accounting and optimization of utilities, monitor the state of all types of energy resources, as well as manage and monitor the building's engineering systems.
The GOST R 71868-2024 standard was called "Cyberphysical systems. Smart home. Apartment building classes. Part 1. Class requirements. " The document was developed by the autonomous non-profit organization Smart MKD and introduced by the technical committee for standardization TK 194 Cyber-Physical Systems.
The standard defines classes of smart apartment homes. When assigning to a particular category, such criteria are taken into account as automated collection and transmission of readings of common house metering devices for utilities, the presence of video surveillance systems and IP intercom, the use of automated monitoring, access to information and telecommunication networks, amplification of cellular signals, etc.
The standard is intended for use by architects, design and construction companies, developers (technical customers), management and operating organizations, manufacturers of building materials and equipment, citizens when choosing a real estate object, as well as state and local authorities. The compliance of the developed design documentation of an apartment building or a built object with a specific class of a smart home is the basis for placing this information in a single information system for housing construction and marking such a building as a smart object.[1]
