2024: Sales of hangover drugs in Russia rose to ₽1,31 billion over the year
The volume of the Russian market for funds to relieve symptoms of alcohol intoxication in 2024 amounted to ₽1,31 billion and 4.89 million packages against ₽910 million and 4.24 million packages in 2022. This was reported by GxP News on November 12, 2025. The first place in sales is occupied by Alka-Seltzer.
The rating of the 10 best-selling anti-chemicals in Russia is as follows:
- Alka-Seltzer manufactured by Bayer with a share of 27%;
- "Methadoxyl" from MRA with a 24.8% share;
- Anti-Police from AMK-Export with a share of 17.3%;
- "Day After" from "Petz Production" with a 5.5% share;
- "Vitamin Alkodetox" from "Square-C" with a proportion of 5.2%;
- "Stop Hangover" by "Petz Production" with 4% share;
- Dalimag from Santepharm with a 3.3% share;
- Consumed from Biosan with a 2.1% share;
- "Superum" from "Myrroll" with a share of 1.5%;
- "Alkystop" from "Kapitalproduct" with a share of 1%.
The shares of other drugs included in the top 10 are much more modest compared to the three leaders, all of them produced by domestic companies. This indicates high competition in the segment of Russian manufacturers of anti-chemicals.
Petz Production is represented in the ranking by two drugs - Day After in fourth place and Stop Hangover in sixth, which allows it to occupy a significant market share in the aggregate. The total share of the company's two drugs is 9.5%.
Pharmacies remain the main sales channel for hangover drugs - they account for 83.8% of all sales in 2025. This is explained by the specifics of the category of goods requiring advice from the pharmacist and appropriate positioning as medicines.[1]
