As a result, the total capacity of the enterprise for the production of biologically active additives, which includes sites in the Moscow and Kirov regions, will increase by 70% - to 53 million packages per year. "
The company plans to further expand production in Obolensk. The new workshop will increase production from 7 to 22 million packages per year. The company also intends to master the production of dietary supplements in new forms - in drops and soft gelatin capsules.
To implement the expansion plans, Kvadrat-S received a second preferential loan from the FRP in the amount of ₽608,5 million. The total investment in the new development project will exceed ₽760 million.
At the end of 2023, the company has already opened a similar production in the urban-type village of Vostochny, Kirov Region. 2021: Baring Vostok bought 16% of Kvadrat-C
In early October 2012, it became known about the sale of 16% of Kvadrat-S to the Baring Vostok investment fund. Its participants did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction. According to Vedomosti, citing a source close to one of the parties to the transaction, we are talking about an amount of 2 billion rubles.
The newspaper cites data from the SPARK-Interfax system, according to which in mid-September 2021, the Cypriot company Oxalys Limited became the owner of the 16% stake in Kvadrat S LLC. It, in turn, belongs to Baring Vostok.
By the beginning of October 2021, the largest owner of Kvadrat-S is Ekaterina Vavilova, which owns 37.4%.
Kvadrat-S intends to spend the funds raised on expanding production capacities. By the beginning of October 2021, the company can produce about 50 million packages per year. With the launch of a new production at the end of 2022, the company will be able to produce a similar volume.
Baring Vostok explained the purchase of Quadras-S by the growth of the Russian dietary supplement market caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The Fund expects that in the future, Kvadrat-S products will be able to successfully replace expensive imported analogues.
According to DSM Group estimates, sales of these products in Russian pharmacies at the end of 2020 increased by 17.1% compared to 2019 - to 74.1 billion rubles. In 2021, restrictions on online trading of dietary supplements were lifted, so in the future the growth rate will accelerate, said Sergei Shulyak, head of DSM Group.[2]
