According to the president, in recent months, the Russian Federation has transferred 2 Russian mobile laboratories to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In addition, the equipment of the Russian-Guinean Center for the Study of Infections in the city of Kindia, where more than 20 diagnostic drugs have been developed, Putin said.
He stressed that Russia helps African countries in the development of health care. The countries of this continent have been allocated $1.2 billion for the implementation of a program of assistance in the fight against infections. It is designed until 2026.
Earlier it was reported that Russian pharmaceutical companies are ready not only to export their medicines to African countries, but also to create production facilities. One of these industries has already been launched in Algeria, where the production of Russian insulin has begun. Irina Filatova, a member of the State Duma Committee on the Protection of Competition, told the International Parliamentary Conference "Russia - Africa," noted that such a technological transfer and development of production in partner countries will contribute to the creation of new jobs and an increase in tax revenues to these countries. Cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals will help countries in need and achieve pharmaceutical independence.
A number of countries on the African continent are acquiring Russian innovative solutions in the field of VR and robotics for the pharmaceutical industry and medicine. The domestic developer of such products, Targetta, has established their export to Tanzania, Morocco, Iran and South Africa.[1]
