Effective interaction with suppliers of goods is an essential component of the business of any large network retailer, regardless of product specifics. This implies the timely and rapid harmonization of commercial conditions between the retailer and numerous suppliers with the subsequent conclusion of contracts, the prompt solution of a number of smaller sub-tasks in the framework of this large and important process. And when there are hundreds of suppliers, successfully solving these problems in a traditional manual way becomes problematic. Once, OBI, a long-standing international retailer in Russia in the DIY format (Do It Yourself, Make Yourself), specializing in repair and summer cottage products, also faced this big problem. The problem of automating the document negotiation process, fulfilling many other tasks, and not only in the field of interaction with suppliers, was solved on the basis of the Russian Low-code platform "First Form," which allows many tasks to be solved by IT specialists of the retailer independently (more details). |

Today, the practice of replicating Russian digital projects to other regions of the presence of international companies is quite rare. As a rule, multinational companies attract global integrators to develop a digital template, and local integrator departments carry out further replication of the template. In large-scale digital projects, domestic IT companies periodically participate at the stage of local roll-out (replication projects), introducing software products that are already used in foreign representative offices of international companies. Nevertheless, a company has already appeared in the Russian IT industry, having projects in its portfolio that have become a global template. At the same time, the integrator not only developed a digital solution template, but also carried out its further replication without involving local IT companies. Mark Reutenberg, managing partner of NOVARDIS, spoke about the project methodology and the specifics of roll-out projects (more). |
