CIO Cherkizovo Group spoke about the progress of the implementation of ERP Michurin instead of SAP on TAdviser SummIT

Speaking at the TAdviser SummIT conference on November 27, 2025, Vladislav Belyaev, member of the board, director of information technology at Cherkizovo, spoke about the main areas of digitalization in the group of companies. According to him, the volume of IT investments in 2025 amounted to 1.5 billion rubles.

Vladislav Belyaev on TAdviser SummIT

Vladislav Belyaev outlined the levels of Cherkizovo's IT infrastructure as a vertically integrated company, including, in addition to meat processing plants, agriculture, feed mills, and meat farms. They are also priorities in the development of digitalization, he explained.

From the presentation of Vladislav Belyaev

The IT pyramid of the group of companies is based on the Internet of Things, collecting online information from more than 400 sites throughout the country. The second level is PCS and robotization, the third is a single corporate ERP system. The highest level is formed by artificial intelligence and machine learning. And the binding of all levels is information security, which is very important for a distributed company with a large number of locations and users.

The expert spoke more about each of these levels. So, for example, a lot of work was carried out in terms of PCS and the Internet of Things. Since 2022, MES systems have been replaced at 10 feed and meat processing plants. More than 1000 sensors collect data on the climate and state of systems at Cherkizovo farms. The effects include an average 15% reduction in downtime and a 7% reduction in power consumption.

As for ERP, for a long time in the group of companies, as well as in many other large enterprises, they worked for SAP, but after 2022 the restructuring to a single ERP system [[Michurin, which is created on the platform "1C: ERP began. " It will cover all business segments, including horizontal processes.

The solution includes specialized industry modules: "1C: Poultry," "1S:UMKKMP" for feed mills, "1C: Meat processing MES," "1C:WMS Logistics," as well as "1C: MR" and "1C: MR Mobile team." All components are integrated with other IT systems of the company, forming a single digital space.

In total, as of November, about 600 business processes are being automated on the basis of the new ERP, and three legal entities are already working for Michurin IS. In total, there are 28 legal entities in the group. It is planned to fully deploy the ERP system to the entire company in the next two years.

Cherkizovo notes that in many respects their innovative platform even surpasses the products of foreign vendors, being as focused on the specifics of the agricultural sector as possible.

In the course of the report, Vladislav Belyaev also spoke about the plant in Kashira, where completely deserted production was implemented. It has been operating since 2018, investments in it amounted to 7 billion rubles.

О TAdviser SummIT

TAdviser SummIT is a platform that brings together representatives of large customers and IT suppliers, people involved in managing the largest organizations in Russia. On November 27, 2025, TAdviser SummIT was held with the participation of First Deputy Finance Minister Irina Okladnikova, who in an open interview format answered questions related to the digitalization of the financial sector in Russia. In total, more than 1.5 thousand delegates attended the event, more than 150 reports were made in the plenary part and ten thematic sections. Their main topic was to increase efficiency using technology and move towards technological sovereignty against the background of the difficult economic situation in the country. More than 50 stands were deployed at the exhibition in the conference hall, where Russian IT suppliers presented their products and services.

Cherkizovo assessed the economic effects of digitalization

The introduction of digital technologies provides Cherkizovo Group with annual savings of approximately 300 million rubles. At the same time, additional effects in the form of increased labor productivity and optimization of operations give a constant increase in revenue at the level of 1.5-2%. This was announced on October 10, 2025 by the company's director of information technology Vladislav Belyaev.

Digitalization in the Cherkizovo Group is carried out in five key areas. One of them is the unified corporate enterprise resource planning (ERP) system called Michurin: this 1C-based platform integrates more than 600 internal processes for all areas of the company's business - from crop production to meat processing. The use of the system is designed to increase the efficiency and transparency of operations.

Another area is the introduction of artificial intelligence and machine learning: neural networks help to automate routine operations, reducing the burden on employees. Significant attention is paid to robotization and comprehensive automation: these technologies make it possible to increase labor productivity while reducing costs. The fourth direction is the development of information security. In addition, developments are underway in the field of automated process control and the Internet of Things: these solutions provide data collection and analysis from hundreds of sensors and controllers on farms and production lines.

Digitalization has been Cherkizovo's strategic priority for many years along with the development of production, selection and genetics, Belyaev notes.

Cherkizovo Group is also actively engaged in import substitution of software. Domestic solutions are being introduced to manage feed mills and production lines, ensuring technological independence and increased efficiency.[1]

2024

Cherkizovo spent 795 million rubles on Russian IT solutions over the year. The largest expenses are for ERP and APCS

Cherkizovo's growth due to the acquisition of new assets, an unstable external environment and the need to unify IT systems led to an acceleration of the company's digital transformation. In this regard, in 2023-2024 Cherkizovo Group implemented 26 automation projects, the expected annual effect of which should exceed 800 million rubles. In 2024, in particular, 20 large production automation projects were launched at various plants and directorate lines, and the group's expenses for the development and implementation of Russian information technologies more than doubled over the year. Such data are presented in Cherkizovo's sustainability report, which TAdviser got acquainted with in September 2025.

It also states that the Cherkizovo group spent 795 million rubles on projects for the development and implementation of Russian solutions of different classes in 2024.

The key areas of digitalization in recent years at Cherkizovo were the introduction of an ERP system, automation of labor-intensive production processes and accounting for energy resources. So, in 2024, the company began developing the Michurin ERP system, a single digital platform that will unite all divisions of the group. The volume of investments in this project in 2024 amounted to about 400 million rubles. TAdviser wrote about him separately here.

Another 350 million rubles in 2024 Cherkizovo invested in the introduction of new and modernization of existing PCS systems, follows from the report on sustainable development. Systems of this class play a key role in ensuring the stability of production, efficient operation of equipment and high quality of products. PCS also combines ON hardware solutions for automatic control and control of production lines - from conveyors and cutting machines to robotic packaging complexes and heat treatment chambers.

File:Aquote1.png
After leaving the Russian market in 2022, a number of suppliers of technological equipment at the company's production sites began replacing foreign IT solutions with domestic counterparts. This made it possible to reduce the cost of implementation and operation by 2-5 times and minimize technological dependence, - the company explains in its report.
File:Aquote2.png

At the time of the report on sustainable development, the systems operate in the processing and feed production segments, allowing to close the main risks of operation and almost completely solve incidents by internal specialists. And the plans include scaling the PCS to the segments of crop production, reproduction and cultivation, as well as the development of its own development team.

From the latest Cherkizovo engineering vacancies on the HH recruiting portal, it follows that the company continues to use foreign solutions at the PCS level, for example, Siemens solutions, TAdviser [2] drew attention].

As for the aforementioned accounting of energy resources as one of the priority areas of digitalization, Cherkizovo uses the automated Pyramid system to analyze in detail the volume of use of various resources in accordance with the needs of a particular enterprise. It allows you to analyze the consumption of energy resources with accuracy to a specific workshop, site or device, which makes it possible to ensure their maximum rational use.

An important functional component is monitoring the parameters of the electric network - active and reactive power, voltage, current frequency. This allows you to prevent emergencies and quickly identify the causes of malfunctions. Moreover, Pyramida provided the electrical personnel of the enterprises with detailed tools for monitoring energy consumption at each production cycle or site, which helps to identify points of unsustainable use of energy resources and promptly optimize energy consumption modes.

The system has been operating at key enterprises of the company since 2020, and in 2025 it is planned to further scale the system: new implementations and an increase in the number of accounting points at existing sites.

In addition, in connection with the withdrawal from the Russian market of a provider of telematics data transmission services in 2024, the company modernized IT solutions to ensure temperature control during the transportation of goods by hired and own vehicles. As a result, the entire software package was transferred to the Russian-developed Pilot system, and the total number of vehicles connected to the domestic system exceeded 2.6 thousand units.

As part of measures to improve the transparency and efficiency of procurement activities in 2024, the group also implemented several significant projects. In particular, in the field of direct procurement and procurement of feed components, projects have been developed for operational procurement planning (Material Requirements Planning, MRP), an integrated Procure-to-Pay (PTP) process, covering all stages: from the search for the necessary goods and services to their final calculation. In addition, the creation of a digitalization system for the purchase of grain and oilseeds has begun, the implementation of which is scheduled for 2025.

In indirect purchases, such as administrative expenses, insurance services, spare parts, etc., the Procure-to-Pay system on the basis of "1C" has already been fully implemented. This made it possible to issue and coordinate orders in a single system, as well as quickly create orders to suppliers.

Back in 2024, Cherkizovo approved a large-scale project to modernize the document management system, selected a modern EDO system, and created a special working group to implement the project. As a result of the analysis, preference was given to domestic software, which offers a solution that adapts to the specifics of Cherkizovo's activities and scale, the report says.

The specific name of the selected EDO product is not given there, but, again, if you look at the relatively fresh vacancies of Cherkizovo from 2025, they mention Diadoc[3].

The key objectives of this project: expanding the list of documents translated into electronic format, unifying document flow for all areas of the company's activities and achieving the target of 87% of the total electronic document flow by 2027.

Cherkizovo began to change SAP to ERP Michurin. The project has already cost 400 million rubles

In 2024, the Cherkizovo agro-industrial group began developing the Michurin ERP system, a single digital platform that will unite all divisions of the group. This is stated in the company's sustainability report, published in September 2025, which TAdviser got acquainted with. It also indicates that the volume of investments in the project for 2024 amounted to about 400 million rubles, the data are given in the report. Read more here.

2017: Industry 4.0 concept implemented. What's next? Chief information officer Forecast

Director of Information Technology Cherkizovo Vladislav Belyaev at the TAdviser SummIT conference held on November 29, 2017, spoke about what technological trends are influencing companies' IT strategies, focusing on industries such as agriculture and meat processing.

Vladislav Belyaev on TAdviser SummIT

He noted that often the IT strategy is little connected with the decisions and tasks facing IT: it lives separately, and the real work of IT in companies proceeds in some kind of plane. Belyaev also stressed that the IT strategy is not necessarily a detailed plan and presentation that is annually discussed at the board of directors. Strategy is what determines steps in the company and behavior on a daily basis, he said.

The first trend - IT becomes a commodity: what is bought and implemented is increasingly a commodity and even an exchange-traded commodity, Cherkizovo's Chief information officer explained. The trend towards the IT product as a product is increasingly noticeable in the Russian and world markets, and this affects the decisions made and the way decisions are made.

Slide from the presentation of Vladislav Belyaev

The attitude towards IT as a product is determined by several key points. In particular, for customers, for business, the price and speed of implementation are becoming more and more important, Vladislav Belyaev explained.

File:Aquote1.png
Often, from my experience, the business is ready to sacrifice everything else for the speed of implementation and price. Why? The answer is efficiency. The faster and cheaper you implement some kind of innovation, the faster you get an advantage in the market, "he says. - And it seems to me that this factor is becoming more and more important for the management of the company when making a decision.
File:Aquote2.png

At a low level, IT is already a commodity. No one thinks, for example, about some simple key elements of the IT infrastructure, such as switches, Belyaev noted. This is all just a product that is selected based on quality, warranty, delivery dates. At the same time, IT is increasingly becoming a service, a service - exactly what the business and the end user work with.

The second trend is everything related to the transition to Industry 4.0: to a paradigm where disparate systems that lived separately from each other in Industry 3.0 are now combined. All systems - from production robots to ERP systems - become a single chain and work in a single information field. This leads to effective deserted production, Belyaev noted.

Cherkizovo, according to Vladislav Belyaev, is actually working in Industry 4.0.

File:Aquote1.png
If you are not 4.0, then you are already hopelessly behind. And the question now is how we will move on to the next stage, to Industry 5.0, he said.
File:Aquote2.png

The next step should be the transition to the fact that information from all participants in the production process will flow to a single information cloud, which will allow all participants to effectively place orders and receive answers and exchange information. Perhaps at this stage blockchain will be used, Belyaev suggested.

In Industry 5.0, production will become more compact and closer to those places where its product is needed, closer to the consumer. And it will take effort from IT in terms of ensuring such a complex distributed structure.

Self-learning systems and machine vision Vladislav Belyaev attributes to the third trend. Such systems will not displace a person, but will change the logic of human-system interaction, he said.

Cherkizovo IT Director also noted that, according to his observations, the modern generation of CEOs and top managers of companies are increasingly versed in IT.

File:Aquote1.png
The chief information officer is no longer a guru who tells the CEO something and tells him some, often magical things, but just one of his colleagues who provides a back-office function, says Vladislav Belyaev. - Business leaders are already well aware of what they need, including from IT, and are able to lead the discussion in a fairly professional language.
File:Aquote2.png

IT is one of the many tools for implementing a business strategy, summed up Cherkizovo's IT director. And the role of "internal" IT will increasingly boil down to the standard tasks of any service function of the company. At the same time, the key requirement for IT is "simplicity and fast launch." Against the background of these technological trends, the share of outsourcing, "cloud solutions" and products in the form of ready-made services will increase, Belyaev noted.
