In 2024, the information technology management function, including information security, in one of the largest transport and logistics holdings in Russia and the largest container carrier Delo Group began to be carried out centrally and the transition to a service model began. This follows from the report on the sustainable development of Delo Group of Companies, published in October 2025, which TAdviser got acquainted with.

Centralized management is carried out on the basis of the internal IT integrator - Delotech. In 2024, Delo Group of Companies completed the consolidation of IT assets, strengthening its competencies by joining one of the players in the field of digital solutions for cargo logistics - Rolis, the report says. According to the database of legal entities Kontur.Fokus, "after the acquisition, Rolis joined the IT integrator based on Delotech and ceased its activities in 2024. Rolis has previously developed a number of digital services and applications for Delo Group of Companies and other companies in the industry, designed to optimize the order and processing of transportation, track the container, and automate the process of generating documents.

The merger allowed us to create a single platform for digital transformation and launch large-scale IT projects at the group level. Today, the IT integrator is focused on developing expertise in the digitalization of container logistics, implementing an IT strategy and effectively using the potential of the group's assets, ensuring its sustainable growth and technological leadership, the company says.

Strategic goals in the field of digital transformation are outlined: the creation of a competence center for working with data and innovation, the use of big data capabilities, the introduction of practices and tools for the application of technologies in the field of artificial intelligence within the framework of the self-service concept. In the latter case, we are talking about an approach, an approach in which users can independently perform tasks or receive services without the participation of third-party specialists or operators.

The report also indicates that the internal IT integrator performs the functions of a cybersecurity operator in the Delo Group of Companies. The service model according to which it works allows not only to coordinate actions between the group companies, but also to maintain a high level of standardization of processes in the field of information protection. Attention is paid to both technical aspects - the protection of network infrastructure and data, and organizational - training of personnel, the development of incident response procedures and risk management.

Cybersecurity and data protection at the level of individual companies of the group are managed by cybersecurity directorates, IT departments and information security departments. The cybersecurity director and CEO are also responsible for information security, and one of the group's companies has a vice president for security.

In 2025, it is planned to complete the transition to the information security management service model in Delo Group of Companies. Also in the plans for the specified period in the field of cybersecurity: development of a model for assessing the effectiveness of information security processes; completion of the transfer of users to multifactorial authorization; transfer of the organization of secure communication channels to certified equipment; development of a comprehensive concept for ensuring safe interaction with external organizations and templates for protecting typical resources.

Among the plans is the expansion of the practice of independent external audit of information security. We are talking about annual penetration tests and expert health-check audits. Companies of Delo Group regularly conduct internal audits to determine the effectiveness of the security system, analyze vulnerabilities and assess information security risks, including them in the register of corporate risks. In turn, an external audit as part of the development of the information security strategy was carried out in 2023.

2021: Digitalization Strategy Approved

On November 23, 2021, at the TAdviser SummIT 2021 conference , Delo Group presented an IT digitalization strategy. It was based on the goal of achieving leadership in efficiency, manufacturability and service quality through the use of advanced digital technologies. The achievement of this goal is planned through the solution of the main tasks of process automation, technical integration of the Group's assets and the transition to the next level of Digitalization, which includes the use of digital technologies to improve client services and improve operational efficiency.

The strategy is an integral and integral part of the group's overall development strategy for the medium-term, until 2025, and long-term, until 2030, perspective. All planned projects and changes are structured into three key areas:

• "Automation" (to improve operational efficiency);
• "Integration" (in order to ensure the operation of assets among themselves and achieve synergies);
• "Data" (for creating digital products and services).

The implementation of the plan of each of the key areas will be supported by individual support:

• "Innovation" (application of innovative technologies and work with startups within the framework of hackathons and acceleration programs);
• "Digital DNA" (training of employees, instilling in them skills and motivation to work with high-tech digital products);
• "Cybersecurity" (stability and protection against information security threats).

The group, owning the largest transport assets Russia in and being a business structure with high social responsibility to society and state solving internal digitalization problems, fully links its goals with the goals of the digital transformation strategy of the transport industry. First of all, it is the creation (conjugation) of common standards, the establishment of a sustainable and standardized electronic exchange data within the group's assets and with all participants in the transport industry.

At the same time, the group, being a private structure, expects clarity and transparency of decisions made by the state in the field of activity under consideration, and its practical assistance where problems go beyond the competencies of the business. Basically, this concerns international cooperation: measures of economic diplomacy, including assistance in coordinating acceptable norms of restrictive procedures on the way of international logistics chains, and solving issues in the field of direct digital exchange of necessary logistics and transport data with counterparties abroad, at the first stage - with neighboring states.

Commenting on the presentation of the digitalization strategy, Vladimir Bychkov, Senior Vice President for Strategic Development and IT of the Delo Management Company, the Group's parent company, noted: "In developing the digitalization strategy, we have pushed back from the ambitious goal set by the Delo group development strategy to become a logistics champion, the leader of container logistics in the Eurasian space. In each of the segments of digitalization of our activities, the goal is to achieve leadership in efficiency, manufacturability and quality of service. Of course, they can only be achieved by a team of highly professional and motivated employees. For this reason, with the idea of ​ ​ a digitalization strategy, we seek to change not only IT systems, but also personnel, because we are absolutely sure that technologies themselves have less value in comparison with a trained professional who is armed with them.
