Turkish Arilines provides a hotel free of charge for long stays in Istanbul. As noted in ATOR, tourists from Russia can stay in the city for several nights, and then continue the trip.[1]

History

2022:6 killed in IS terror attack in Istanbul

On November 13, 2022, on the anniversary of the 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris (which was organized by IS) in Istanbul, a woman carried out a terrorist attack opposite a cafe very popular with Israeli tourists and expats on Istiklal Street in the city center. The number of victims of the terrorist attack reached six, about 81 people were injured. The suspect, according to Haber Turkiye, managed to escape from the explosion site, and the explosive device was remotely activated. Vice President Fuat Oktay confirmed that the attack was carried out by a woman. Zafer party member Adem Tashkaya named the suspect - Jiyan Tosun, a lawyer for the PKK.

The perpetrator of the terrorist attack comes from Syrian Kobani (Ain al-Arab), one of the settlements that the Turks have identified as the goals of their so far military operation in northern Syria.

Kobani at this time is in the zone of American influence. Yes, formally, Russian troops conduct patrols, but Russia's military-political influence on the Kurds of Syria's Rogava has decreased significantly. This is due, among other things, to the cunning nature of individual Russian military leaders who were dismissive of the Kurds (the phrases "if we are not there, the Turks will quickly begin the operation" are no longer perceived by the Syrian Kurds).

It is beneficial for the Americans to push the Turks to "restore order on the border" and start another military operation in northern Syria. This will force Ankara to spend resources (primarily due to the construction of a gas hub together with Russia), and will also allow you to click on the nose of the Russian Ministry of Defense, which acted as guarantors of the ceasefire in northern Syria, noted the Rybar telegram channel.

The Turkish authorities have been promising to deal with the PKK for a very long time. Yes, only the words with the case are still diverging.
