2017: Agreement with the Chinese business

At the beginning of July, 2017 it became known of creation of the Russian-Chinese medical cluster near Ulyanovsk. The head of the region Sergey Morozov signed the relevant agreement with producers of the medical equipment from the People's Republic of China of China Resources Wandong Medical Equipment, Shenzhen Creative Industry and Shanghai Iray Electronics Technology.

At the new enterprise which will be located in the territory of the Port Special Economic Zone (PSEZ) of the Ulyanovsk region the modern medical equipment, including computer tomographs, X-ray devices, ultrasonography - and MRT-scanners will be manufactured.

The total amount of investments into the project can reach $1.5 billion, number of new jobs — about 3800. By the beginning of July, 2017 the investor got permission of the government of the People's Republic of China to financing of an object in $100 million. This money will be spent within the first stage calculated on two years. The planned terms of implementation of all project are seven-eight years.

The Chinese state corporation "Baozhi" which at the expense of own means will build production premises where the companies will be engaged in production of the medical equipment acts as the project coordinator.

According to NTM groups of Vadim Staritsyn are TASS with reference to the CEO of project coordinator in the region, under the new enterprise 60 gekator of the earth therefore this medical cluster will be the largest in Europe will be selected.

The project has enormous value for the region and is priority for us. First, it is a large flow of investments into economy of the Ulyanovsk region, secondly — highly paid jobs. Sincerely I hope that we will manage to construct here not only modern productions, but also to create research center on development of the innovation products — Sergey Morozov reported.[1]
