2024: Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the renovation of military medical institutions

On September 12, 2024, the president Russia Vladimir Putin announced a renovation program for medical institutions. The Ministry of Defence head states announced the need to carry out the relevant work at a meeting with the State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Defense, the head of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation Anna Tsivileva and the head of the Military Medical Academy Yevgeny Kryukov.

According to information that comes to the president through various channels, including from the governors, part of Russia's military medical institutions needs reconstruction, renovation or even new construction. According to the president, the renovation of military medical institutions is especially relevant due to the fact that Russian servicemen from the zone of a special military operation are being cured.

It is necessary, of course, to make a whole renovation program. I repeat where construction is necessary, putting in order the medical institution of the Ministry of Defense. Of course, this will require certain resources, and there is always not enough money, but this is a holy thing - we will definitely find these resources, "Putin said.

Tsivileva was instructed to oversee the renovation program. She notes that by the end of 2024, seven new fully equipped hospitals will be commissioned, and by mid-2025 it is planned to commission another 19 new multidisciplinary medical institutions. In turn, Kryukov added that a program for the construction of new medical institutions and the reconstruction of existing ones until 2027 has been planned. In 2024, more than 110 billion rubles are planned for these purposes.

I think that this program, of course, will be implemented. It's a concern for people. Probably, nothing is more valuable today than caring for our defenders of the Fatherland, heroes, - said Kryukov.[1]
