2024: Moscow City Hall launched a service for booking places for kebabs in parks
In mid-April 2024, the Moscow mayor's office launched an online service for booking places for kebabs in parks. The paid service is available through a single ticket system.
It allows you to book for a certain time equipped places for picnics in parks subordinate to the capital's Department of Culture. Fire-fighting barbecues, coal and sand boxes, garbage bins and safety information boards are installed in these areas. For lighting fires and using barbecues outside equipped zones, citizens are fined up to 5 thousand rubles.
The service allows residents and guests of Moscow to book one slot (period of time) with a length of four hours, but this time cannot be extended and after the end of the session, the barbecue zone will need to be left. The rental price is 500 rubles. All reservations are personalized, so they cannot be transferred to someone you know.
According to booking rules, the gazebo must be vacated 10 minutes before the end of the reservation. Without prior booking, it is impossible to occupy a picnic space - park employees will check for armor. Funds from will be used to maintain the existing infrastructure of the picnic zone of the park.
As of 13:00 Moscow time on April 16, 2024, 48 gazebos from six to 15 places are available in the Borisov Ponds recreation area and the Borisov Ponds park, landscape reserve "Lianozovsky" - two gazebos for four places, natural-historical park "Kuskovo" - 21 gazebos for six places, Kuzminki-Lyublino Park - 11 gazebos for six seats, Serebryany Bor - four gazebos for six seats, Moskvoretsky Park - eight gazebos for six seats.
Previously, Muscovites had to come early in the morning to occupy the free mangal zone in the parks. For a surcharge, you could rent a gazebo or tent.[1]
