Research objectives

  • Determine the level of interest of financial sector companies in using PACs in their infrastructure
  • Find out what difficulties companies face in the procurement and operation of PACS
  • Find out what customers expect from PACS suppliers and their products

The study was conducted by closed questionnaire through an online platform. As part of the study, representatives of 40 leading Russian financial organizations were interviewed.

Main observations

  • High interest of financial institutions in software and hardware complexes. 81% of organizations considered or consider purchasing PAC to solve their problems, and 67% monitor the cases of PAC implementation in the industry.
  • Customers' opinion that PAC is "expensive and difficult." Respondents consider high cost (51%) and long implementation periods (38%) to be key barriers to implementation.
  • High attention to compliance. Certification of PACS according to the standards of the financial sector is considered an important factor in the choice of 66% of respondents.

The results of the study give a clear picture: the demand for software and hardware complexes in the financial sector is reaching a new level. The figure of 81% of organizations considering the purchase of PACs is no longer just an interest, but a signal for large-scale changes in the IT infrastructure of the industry. The market is aware of the challenges: the cost and timing of implementation remain key barriers. However, these difficulties do not deter development - on the contrary, they push businesses and suppliers to find more effective models of cooperation, - comments Tatyana Lemesheva, Director of Key Customers at Skala^r (Rubytech Group). - And today our team sees its task in turning current challenges into opportunities. We aim to ensure that the principles laid down in the architecture of Skala^r Machines - reliability, fault tolerance, ease and speed of implementation, as well as ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements - become integral associations with the word "PAC." Our task is to make sure that the perception of PAC changes from "expensive and difficult" to "reliable, effective and predictable.
