2023: Russian Ministry of Digital Development creates industrial center for import substitution of software in the field of pharmaceuticals
The Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation has created an industrial competence center for import substitution of software in the field of pharmaceuticals. It was joined by several large pharmaceutical companies, including R-Pharm, Pharmstandard, Biocad, Pharmasintez, Nanolek, ChemRar and Velpharm.
The task of the companies included in the ICC is to participate in the preparation of the terms of reference when creating, ON as well as accepting the work performed. In addition, the ICC is engaged in the formation of an order for the creation of certain software solutions for this industry and cross-industry products. As previously reported by the Ministry of Digital Development, the approved roadmap includes the main projects identified by the ICC. They are approved by the Presidium of the Government Commission on Digital Development.
Approved particularly significant projects can qualify for support measures, including grant financing and soft loans. The Ministry of Digital Development also working on the introduction of the status of "systemically significant" for companies that invest their own funds in the development of their solutions for the promising needs of customers. Such companies will receive preferences in public procurement, - follows from the explanations of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation. |
It is noted that these measures are being taken to switch to domestic software, which will eliminate the technical difficulties experienced by manufacturers in updating and maintaining imported software.[1]
