The production line started in the Tver region was the largest in own way in Russia — medical and industrial respirators of a class of protection of FFP2 and FFP3 in number of 4 million pieces a month will be made there. Professional respirators force to carry all residents of Germany and Austria
On January 18, 2021 in Bavaria, the largest federal land of Germany, became effective the requirement to carry professional respirators with high degree of protection of class FFP2. The rule needs to be followed during the trips in public transport and at visit of shops, but it does not concern drivers of buses, booking controllers and children aged up to 15 years.
The similar measure will be entered in Austria since January 25, 2021. The chancellor of the country Sebastian Kurz signed the relevant decree on January 17. Promise to provide to the Austrians with low income respirators of the increased protection free of charge.
According to the Bild edition, on January 19, 2021 the German chancellor Angela Merkel will meet chapters of all 16 federal lands of the country. The offer to oblige all residents of the country to carry FFP2 respirators will be discussed at this meeting. The newspaper calls introduction of this measure probable.
According to the publication, the representative of the Ministry of Economics of Germany said that in Germany production of 750 million masks of class FFP2/FFP3 in a year is possible. The Ministry of Health of the country noted that there are no instructions on the shortage of deliveries.
Respirators are more effective than normal medical masks, but also are much more expensive. In Germany the prices of them are about 1.5-4 euros and 15 Euro cents respectively. FFP2 can use several days, but to breathe in it difficultly.
The virologists polled by the German newspaper Spiegel agreed that respirators provide more reliable protection, however said that they at the requirement of their obligatory carrying the power should provide to them free access.
