Russian students won the ICPC World Programming Championship

Physical training standard for sports programming approved in Russia
On January 11, 2024, an order of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation was published, by which the department approved the federal standard for sports training in sports programming. The document provides requirements for additional educational programs of sports training, to the results of sports training, to the list of equipment and to the duration of classes.
So, the main physical training in sports programming includes running (30 m, 60 m, 1 km, 1.5 km and 2 km), shuttle running, inclinations forward, raising the body, leaning forward from a standing position, as well as performing a test for the speed of typing text on the keyboard. Standards for exercises vary depending on the direction of training (initial, training and improvement of sportsmanship).
In addition, the order of the Ministry of Sports determines the age of persons undergoing sports training. Thus, athletes can be admitted to the initial training stage:
- for sports disciplines "algorithmic programming," "robotics programming" - at least 10 years old;
- for sports disciplines "product programming," "programming of information security systems," "programming of unmanned aircraft systems" - at least 12 years old.
Special training in sports programming, according to the document, includes performing a test for the speed of typing text on a keyboard. The requirements here differ depending on the stage of training and disciplines. So, at the initial stage for sports disciplines "algorithmic programming," "robotics programming" girls need to be able to fill at least 160, and boys - 180 characters per minute. For sports disciplines, "product programming," "programming of information security systems," "programming of unmanned aircraft systems" - at least 170 and 190 characters per minute, respectively.

Holding the first sports programming championship in Russia
From December 6 to 11, 2023, the first Russian sports programming championship was held. It was attended by more than 180 participants from 23 subjects of the country.

"Russia became the first country in the world to recognize sports programming as a sport. To date, regional representative offices have been created in 89 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. participation in the championship is a great opportunity for our specialists to demonstrate their skills and learn about the latest trends in the field of programming. "
The championship was held in several stages. In the online selection from October 31 to November 5, 2023, 162 teams competed. Only 38 went to the full-time final, who did a better job of programming, reverse development and other areas of practice-oriented cybersecurity.
Participants in the discipline "programming information security systems" needed to solve eight tasks at speed: for example, write or improve special code for sorting out options, develop a new software solution. The ITMO team scored 761 points on seven of the eight tasks solved. This is 113 points more than the team from Tatarstan, and 117 more than the team from Moscow. The top three shared a prize pool of more than 1 million rubles.[1]
All-Russian competitions in sports programming started in Tyumen
