At the conference, PROMT was represented by Director of Business Development Yulia Epifantseva - she spoke at the Technological Stream with a report "Difficult issues of machine translation castomization," in which she spoke about ways to increase the accuracy of neural network machine translation, paying special attention to the preparation and cleaning of data for setting up neural models.
"Theconference was very rich - Translation Forum Russia after a break in 2020 (then the conference was held online) gathered many participants from all over Russia," Yulia notes, "The Section of Corporate Translation Bureaus was interesting, where they discussed many important issues - from organizing the daily work of translators to the use of technology and increasing efficiency. It is especially pleasant that linguistic technologies have become one of the key topics - firstly, we learned about the new trend - the creation of speech buildings for different projects, and secondly, we discussed issues related to machine translation very productively. "
2019: PROMT introduced the participants of Translation Forum Russia to the neural network technology PROMT Neural

The PROMT company was represented at the event by Yulia Epifantseva, Director of Business Development. Speaking at the conference, Yulia Epifantseva spoke about the current situation in machine translation, emphasizing the use of neural networks. According to her, the quality of machine translation has recently grown so much that it can be called comparable to a translation made by a person. In addition, Julia emphasized that in order for the technology to work as efficiently as possible, it needs to be trained on customer data.
Training our system on relevant data allows you to achieve the quality of translation, which previously had only to dream of, "said the Director of Business Development PROMT. |
Thus, the company's new technology - PROMT Neural - can be trained on highly specialized customer data - bilingual buildings of parallel texts and on glossaries with highly specialized terminology.
In addition to PROMT, the conference was attended by large translation agencies, localization departments of such companies as Kaspersky Lab, 1Ci and VKontakte, service providers and automated tools - Trados, SmartCAT, Intento and others - as well as representatives of state structures: Ministries of Foreign Affairs, European Association of Translation Agencies.
