2017: The total volume of issue of microloans — over 60 billion rubles

As of July 1, 2018 the total volume of issue of microloans to clients exceeded 60 billion rubles, and the number of employees was 3500 people.

History

2020: Date leak of clients

On February 6, 2020 "ekapust" knew of availability of the database of clients of microfinance institutions (IFIs) in Russia among which — Bistrodengi, Zaymer, Lime and Mikroklad.

According to RBC, the declaration of sale of personal data of 1.2 million borrowers was posted online on February 2, 2020. According to vendor data, all of them are clients of IFI entering in top-10 in the market. 

These 1.2 million Russian users of microloans appeared on sale

Journalists studied the fact-finding version of base with 800 records about clients of microfinanciers. In particular, passport data, names, dates of birth, phone numbers, the e-mail addresses are given in it. It is supposed that clients addressed to the companies since 2017th in end 2019. A part of information became outdated, specifies the edition.

The source of RBC close to the Bank of Russia said that the sold base is similar to consolidation of these clients of IFI from different sources, but not to leak from one company.

 The security director of Eqvanta group (where Bistrodengi enters) Anton Gruntov compared a part of a sampler to  the original database of IFI and  said that coincidence level in  the lines is 33%. For example, matches Full name, but  the phone number differs from  specified in  the system of Bistrodengi.

Zaymer reported that make operational office investigation because of a possible personal data leakage of clients. It showed that date leak did not happen, but the company management addressed to law enforcement agencies.

According to the founder of cybersecurity company DeviceLock Ashot Oganesyan, it is quite probable that the base really contains 1.2 million records as the seller declares determination "work through the guarantor" (service of data validation at the specialized websites) and it means that he will not deceive at least with a record count in base.[1]

2017

Start of the franchize "Tails"

The Bistrodengi microfinancial company (enters into Eqvanta group) announced on October 19, 2017 the beginning of development in the system of franchizing with the Tails brand. Until the end of the year the first offices "Reshka" will appear in Moscow and the Moscow region. Next year start of 50 franchasing points across all Russia is planned.


Offices of financial aid Bistrodengi for the first time appeared in 2008, in 2012 active mastering of regions began. More than 500 own points in 188 cities of Russia are at the moment open and function. Since 2016 the company focused on business diversification: actively develops projects on remote issue of microloans, implements additional products according to the agency scheme. This year it is headed for franchizing development — in the Tails project examination of one of the largest players of the market and modern technologies of check of the client on solvency, accounting of issues, agreements and percent connect, told in the company.

By estimates of Bistrodengi, the business direction of franchizing has the strong potential as receiving loans cash continues to occupy a significant share in the total amount of issues: 80% according to the regulator for prevy quarter 2017.

2016

It is financed loans of 10.3 billion rubles

In 2016 the company financed loans 10.3 billion rubles. The customer base of group reached 2.8 million people. The portfolio of investment loans made 746 million rubles.

The retail network "Bistrodengi" contains more than 500 offices of customer service in 187 cities of Russia and develops as financial supermarket, providing to clients different partner products according to the agency scheme. This insurance, service for providing credit stories, services of a pawnshop, sale of SIM cards, certificates on rendering legal services and so forth.

The average amount of a short-term loan of the companies grew in comparison with last year by 11% and was 6,300 rubles. It is influenced both by inflation processes in economy, and internal scoring changes which allow to approve when preserving level of delay a large sum to more reliable categories of clients. So, the indicator of NPL, i.e. level of arrears 90+, decreased to 14.7%.

Bistrodengi Group will transfer to BKI "Equifax" more than 2 million credit stories

In November the Bistrodengi group completed connection to services of bureau of credit histories "Equifax": "Credit reports" and Scoring of Bureau. The company got access to the database which she has the right to use at decision making about issue of loans and also to fill up it with data on the borrowers. To transfer more than 2 million credit stories during 2017 are planned.

The customer base of Bistrodengi group totals more than 2.5 million people in 186 cities of Russia. Growth of retail business leads to increase in base of borrowers that assumes existence of an effective control system of risks from an important component – tracking of credit stories of clients. Work with one of three largest Russian credit bureaus allows to optimize Bistrodengi credit process and to increase efficiency of retail business. It was preceded by preparation both in terms of strategy development, and in terms of upgrade of different information systems, including development of own system of assessment of borrowers.

Now Bistrodengi Group sends information on each loan to several bureaus of credit histories among which there is also Equifax. It allows borrowers to find confidence that credit history improves after each successfully extinguished loan, and it increases their chances of approval of the credits in banks and receiving the best conditions in IFI.

RAEX confirmed the highest rating of reliability of Bistrodengi company

The RAEX rating agency (RAEX) confirmed the maximum rating of reliability of Bistrodengi company at the level A ++ "Very high level of reliability". The forecast for rating – stable that means a high probability of preserving of rating at the current level in the medium term. As key positive factors of analytics of the agency note conservative policy of reservation on loans and quality of a portfolio, acceptable for a segment, – the level of arrears of NPL 90+ was 14.7% for 2015. Considerable support to rating is given by the high, according to the agency, probability of administrative support in case of need in connection with a backbone position in the Russian market of microfinance: the Bistrodengi company wins first place in a ranking of RAEX (RAEX) on the volume of the issued microloans for 2015.

Bistrodengi increased the level of approval of loans using Big Data

The director of risks of Bistrodengi group Sergey Vesovshchuk within the Credit Scoring conference shared experience of use of new data for scoring of clients of microfinance institutions. In general scoring of mobile operators helped the company to increase the level of approval of requests for 5% and to reduce arrears level.

The company applies a scoring system which is constructed by methods of logistic regression and decision trees. It is completely internal development which uses unique combinations with external partner models of Big Data on the basis of these telecom operators, social networks, the analysis of the channel of involvement of the borrower, device-id, explained in Bistrodengi. This development helped to lower a share of manual checks and to save quality of the issued loans.

"Today financial players implement similar products and technological solutions. Therefore to the forefront there is not only what is done by the company, but also as it does it. Thousands of parameters of the crude data available to the analysis, we will transform to the clear and interpreted units for decision-making according to the request — Sergey Vesovshchuk noted. — At development of own scoring model we stake on partnership with the companies opening broad access to Big Data. And it yields good results. Models of telecoms, for example, can substitute work check, using data on a geolocation, to reduce the level of fraud and to control credit risk the rules distributed to the general activity by the phone number".

The total volume of issue of loans — over 31 billion rubles

For 1/1/2016 the total volume of issue of loans – for all history of existence of Bistrodengi company which main field of activity is providing short-term loans – exceeded 31 billion rubles.

2015

Issue of loans in 9.5 billion rubles

In 2015 the company issued loans 9.5 billion rubles. The customer base of group made more than 2 million people. About 80% of borrowers Bistrodengi are regular customers.

The retail network of the company contains more than 500 offices of customer service in 184 cities of Russia. In 2015, having saved representation Bistrodengi in regions, the company began the large-scale project on transformation of offices in points of complex financial service and now offers in them to clients additional products: SIM cards, credit reports, insurance upon nonpayments, protection of the real estate, etc.

The interest of clients in remote methods of receiving money grew: at the end of year more than 50% of all loans are made out using an online service Turbozaym and on the prepaid card of Bystrokarta company on a call on a hot line.

The average amount of a short-term loan of Bistrodengi remains to the lowest in the market and is 5,650 rubles. Slightly more than a third of borrowers (37%) make out microloans more often than they did it earlier. 63% of clients began to address to the company less often or the frequency of the address did not change. At the same time the indicator of NPL, i.e. level of arrears 90+, decreased to 15.5%. In 2014 it made 16%, in 2013 – 17%.

In 2015 the company paid to the development much attention. In particular, more than 150 million rubles were invested in creation of the complex technology platform integrating in itself the front office, a modern banking system, the data warehouse, the accounting system and automatic scoring for assessment of solvency of borrowers.

At the end of year the portfolio of investment loans made 454 million rubles the Product for investors the company started in April, 2015, by the end of reporting period it was succeeded to come to an average value of attraction in 40 million rubles a week.

By preliminary results of the questioning of the Russian IFIs according to the results of work in 2015 which is carried out by RAEX rating agency (RAEX), the total volume of a portfolio of microloans of Bistrodengi group was 1.2 billion rubles. Achievement of this indicator allowed group to appear in Top-5 of the largest IFIs of the country again.

The company continues to be in the lead among IFI by quantity of own sales points – more than 500 offices and points of financial aid Bistrodengi is open in 180 cities of Russia.

More than 150 million rubles are invested in creation of a complex technology platform

In 2015 more than 150 million rubles are invested in creation of the complex technology platform integrating in itself the front office, a modern banking system, the data warehouse, the accounting system and automatic scoring for assessment of solvency of borrowers. The new scoring system is constructed by methods of logistic regression and decision trees and uses unique combinations with the external partner Big Data models on the basis of these telecom operators, social networks, the analysis of the channel of involvement of the borrower, device-id.

Change of positioning and rebranding of network

On December 8, 2015 IFI announced Bistrodengi change of positioning and rebranding of retail network.

The visual style of the company became more dynamic and friendly, positioning is expressed in the message of the "On the Way to the Best" brand.

Implementation of a logo and the corporate style is conducted step by step in all contact points of the consumer with a brand – offices of financial service, communication materials, the corporate website, internal document flow and others. The logo – the first that changes affected - with its help forms a recognizable brand of the company and allows to be selected in the market.

Communications of a brand Bistrodengi reflects the long-term strategy of leadership and permanent advance for the best satisfaction of customer needs in financial services.

Olga Bazanova, the director of the department of marketing of Bistrodengi group, noted:

- Today, when IFIs do all almost same, implementing similar products and technological solutions, the main factor of success is not so much what is done by the company how many as it does it. For 1/1/2015 the total volume of issue of microloans to clients exceeded 8.2 billion rubles. From the moment of foundation in 2008 more than 1.75 million people addressed to Bistrodengi company already - it is the biggest indicator in the industry.

2014: Development of remote methods of receiving loans

In 2014 development of remote methods of receiving loans became the main result of the company. The new product, an analog of the classical credit card – the Bystrokarta prepaid card showed good dynamics: at the end of year through it 40% of all loans of the company are issued.

According to RAEX for the first half of the year 2014, by the portfolio size in 1.36 billion rubles Bistrodengi takes 1 place in a segment of "loans to salary" and enters Top-5 of the Russian microfinancial market. At the same time the arrears indicator remains over 90 days one of the lowest in the market and at the end of 2014 makes 16%.

According to TNS Russia for the 4th quarter 2014, a brand Bistrodengi remains to the most recognizable among urban population of the Russian Federation in category of microfinance institutions with the index of 30.3%. According to analysts of the magazine "Birzhevoy Leader", "Bystrodengi" became the most popular in the Internet of IFI in the rating of the companies providing credit products.

According to RAEX for 2014, Bistrodengi is in the lead on the volume of the issued microloans among all IFIs. By the portfolio size the company is in Top-5 of the Russian microfinancial market. Bistrodengi enters into number 16 of the systemically important organizations which are under authority of Head department of the market of microfinance and methodology of financial availability of the Bank of Russia.

The RAEX rating agency assigned Bistrodengi the highest score to reliability And ++; forecast for rating stable. According to TNS Russia for the 2nd quarter 2015, a brand Bistrodengi is the most recognizable among urban population of the Russian Federation in category of microfinance institutions with the index of 32%.
