2025: Plant Opening
In the Laishevsky district of Tatarstan, a lithium-ion battery plant was opened on the site of the Innopolis special economic zone. The company "Battery" invested ₽1,5 billion in the project. The funds of the Industrial Development Fund were raised to purchase equipment and accelerate the start-up of production. The plant will produce batteries for industrial use. This was reported by the press service of the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan on October 1, 2025.
According to RBC, the plant will produce several types of products. Production includes batteries and battery cells. The company produces battery chargers. BMS boards are electronic controllers that control the operation of the battery. An integrated approach to production provides a full cycle of energy systems.
Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening of the enterprise. Lithium-ion batteries are a basic element of the modern economy, he said. Reliable energy storage systems rely on transport and telecommunications. Industrial automation depends on quality power supplies. Localization of production ensures the reduction of external risks. Strengthening the sustainability of supplies and the formation of our own competencies are the results of the launch of the plant.
The design capacity of the enterprise is 700 thousand units of products per year. The plant is scheduled to reach full capacity in 2026. A phased increase in production will allow you to debug technological processes. The achievement of the design capacity will provide a significant contribution to the provision of batteries to the Russian industry. The volume of production will cover the needs of many enterprises in various regions of the country.[1]
