500 Startups is an American venture capital fund and startup accelerator based in Silicon Valley. It was founded in 2010. As of August 1, 2015, the 500 Startups Fund has invested in 1,200 + companies.
History
2021: Investing in Productfy financial services platform
In early October 2021, BaaS the platform Productfy raised $16 million as part of the Series A funding round, led by a fund with Russian roots. Existing CM Ventures investors Point72 Ventures, 500 Startups and Envestnet|Yodlee also invested in Productfy, bringing the total amount raised since the company's inception in 2018 to almost $19 million. Investing in Adapty
The service for analytics and growth of mobile in-app subscriptions Adapty raised $500 000 from 500 Startups, Genesis Investments and AdFirst.VC. Investments are planned to be spent on expanding A/B testing functions for in-app subscriptions and developing additional analytics functionality. This was announced on December 21, 2020 by Genesis Investments. More details here.
Sberbank and 500 Startups selected 25 IT startups as a joint accelerator
Cooperation with Sberbank
In September 2019, Sberbank and 500 Startups announced the launch of a joint accelerator for the second time and the selection of IT projects for it. The accelerator will select 25 projects that are most interesting for the development of the Sberbank ecosystem. More details here.
