2023: Roman Trotsenko sold 69% of AEON

At the end of December 2023, it became known about the sale of a 69% stake in the AEON corporation, which belonged to billionaire Roman Trotsenko. 36% was bought by AEON CEO Dmitry Mironenko, and 33% - by the head of the group's coal division Alexander Orekhov.

According to RBC, citing a statement by AEON, as a result of transactions, Trotsenko's share in the group decreased to 31%, he will also leave the company's board of directors. In addition, the businessman plans to move away from operational management and concentrate on charity, the publication says.

AEON recalled that on the initiative of the billionaire, master plans for the modernization of a number of cities were developed, including Mendeleevsk (Tatarstan), Kemerovo and Vorkuta (Komi). He is on the board of trustees of the Letovo boarding school and the board of directors of the Skolkovo management school.

As specified in AEON, by the end of December 2023, all the group's coal assets are on the company's balance sheet: Severnaya Zvezda, Vorkuta-Ugol, Vostok-Ugol. IC owns real estate assets. Chemical assets and holding "Novaport" were not included in the transaction. The company for the transaction is estimated at 20 billion rubles, payment of shares is provided for in installments, RBC reports.

The publication in the publication of December 29, 2023 reminds that in recent years Trotsenko has invested in coal mining and fuel transportation. One of the projects is the development of the Syradasai coal deposit in Taimyr with reserves of 5.7 billion tons. The project involves the construction of an enrichment plant, port, airfield and mini-CHP. For the export of coal, the businessman planned to order the construction of 28 Arc5 class vessels for $1.4 billion. The ships were planned to be chartered.

By the end of December, Roman Trotsenko takes 38th place in the ranking of the richest Russians according to Forbes. His fortune is estimated at $3.2 billion.[1]
