Owners

2013: Sale of 49% in joint venture with Rosneft for $2.9 billion and renaming to Areti

In 2013, Rosneft acquired the remaining 49% of the shares of the oil and gas company Itera for $2.9 billion. Of these, $1.8 billion is to Makarov. NGK Itera is one of the largest independent gas producers in Russia (in total, about 265 billion cubic meters of gas were produced at the company's fields). Itera's gas assets are needed by Rosneft to make up real competition for Gazprom. Under the pressure of Rosneft and Novatek, Gazprom began to lose the domestic Russian gas market.

After the sale of his gas assets to Rosneft, Makarov gave the company a new name, turning the word "Itera" - the company began to be called "Areti." At this time, the company is engaged in development, gas chemistry and electricity.

2012: Allocation of gas assets in the joint venture with Rosneft while maintaining a share of 49%

In 2012, the Itera gas business was actually allocated to a joint venture with Rosneft, where the state-owned company received 51%. Itera contributed its main gas assets to the joint venture (49% of Sibneftegaz OJSC, 49% of Purgaz CJSC), as well as the sales structure of Uralsevergaz-NGK (Itera owns 67%, the company supplies gas to the Sverdlovsk region, which is almost completely provided by Itera), and Rosneft - gas fields of the Kynsko-Chaselsky group. As previously reported by the company, the total reserves of the joint venture will amount to about 50.7 million tons of gas condensate and about 1.2 trillion cubic meters of natural gas.
