2024: Revenue growth by 10% to 9.5 billion rubles
At the end of 2024, AST Publishing House received 9.51 billion rubles in revenue. This is 9.6% more compared to the previous year, when the figure was 8.68 billion rubles. At the same time, the cost of sales rose by 20.3% - from 5.34 billion rubles to 6.42 billion rubles. Such data are reflected in the financial statements, which TAdviser got acquainted with in mid-April 2025.
Commercial expenses on an annualized basis rose by 26.4% - from 418.24 million rubles to 528.86 million rubles. Management expenses amounted to 986.74 million rubles, which is 19.2% more than in 2023, when they amounted to 828.13 million rubles. Accounts receivable decreased from 3.76 billion rubles to 3.48 billion rubles, that is, by 7.5%. Accounts payable decreased by 20.9% - from 671.86 million rubles to 531.49 million rubles.
Gross profit fell year-on-year by 7.6%, reaching 3.09 billion rubles against 3.34 billion rubles in 2023. Profit from sales decreased by a quarter - from 2.09 billion rubles to 1.57 billion rubles. At the same time, profit before taxation jumped by 77.3%, reaching 2.67 billion rubles against 1.51 billion rubles in 2023. The publishing house recorded a net profit of 2.27 billion rubles, which is 133.6% more than in 2023, when 971.14 million rubles were received.
Revenues from the sale of products, goods, works and services increased by 6.3% - from 8.38 billion rubles to 8.91 billion rubles, and revenues from lease payments, license payments, royalties, commissions and other similar payments increased by 87.1% - from 266.57 million rubles to 498.71 million rubles. Payments to suppliers (contractors) for raw materials, materials, works and services rose by 19.3% - from 5.01 billion rubles to 5.97 billion rubles. Expenses in connection with the remuneration of workers amounted to 1.82 billion rubles against 1.47 billion rubles in 2023 (plus 24.4%).[1]
